As with all SG games, Blood Bowl is available for download. Great.
But, unique with these games, other items are needed. So, where can I get more information on the board, rulers, templates, etc that I would need to play.
I could make my own, but for example how many squares make up a board, and what does the throwing template actually look like?
I am sure that I am missing something obvious.
Thanks.

Hey CS,
You might get some help here. Neat discussion on making your own board. If you need someone to measure anything missed sing out!

I actually have first edition knocking around somewhere, and an Orc team - unpainted, obviously.
Many thanks for the link. That was exactly the type of information that I was looking for.
I was considering the possibility of a travel version. After the excellent scratch built portable board on the SG forum, and the various ideas of travel versions of 40K, Space Hulk and others I started to think that Blood Bowl would be an ideal travel game. Similar to those travel chess sets, with a metal case which unfolds, and magnetic pieces. I wondered whether a similar system would be possible with an aluminimum folding case, those small warengine dice from E40K, Warmaster minis and small rare Earth magents in the underside.
This would be a seriously long term project, if I ever get around to it, and I wondered if it was even possible.
It has potential...

Actually, rare earth magnets and Epic minis would make for a real "Travel Game"! Chaos would be easy...Beastmen and Minotaurs are a no brainer and there are a couple of options for Chaos Warriors. A Human team should be do-able with old IG Crewmen as your linemen, an Ogryn as Morg n'Thorn etc. You could even do a Halfling team, and Gobbos with some Trolls! Dark Elves....Banshees as Witch Elves. Wood Elves....Harlequins as Wardancers.

Epic would work well for Blood Bowl, but teams like Lizardmen and Dark Elves would be difficult. Besides, I have plenty of Epic figures to paint for my Epic games!
The large board on SG did inspire me. But, I would like a version around 15cm square, if possible.
Those board pictures are perfect. Now I have the number of squares on a board, and the measurements of the throwing template. I think that these are the only two important bits of information needed to make a board.
Next step, the box/board itself...

Dark Elves wouldn't be that hard. The Banshees cover off the Witch Elves nicely, Mk1 Guardians minus the Shurikat could be linies and Harlequins minus sword and pistol your blitzers. Minor conversion for a thrower and you're away :-)
Lizard men would be harder but you do have DRM Kraytonians and EW Tarragin.
