One would expect that as an experienced painter of models and miniatures, I would find athe odd lounge room, kitchen or bedroom a snap to paint. Sadly, its not true. ? ![]() After 2 days of pain preparing my new house, I put my mind as to thinking why this is so: http://pauljamesog.blogspot.com/2007/10 ... scale.html ![]() |

Last time I painted a room I did do some edge-highlighting in a moment of frippery. ![]() |

I know...what was I thinking? I guess 1:1 is the new scale now. I cant afford somebody to paint my miniatures for me, never mind whole rooms! |

I've noticed that it's not the actual painting that takes all that long; it's the prep work that does. I can knock out one coat of paint for a 15' x 15' room in a couple of hours, but it takes forever to tape around doors and windows, remove switchplate covers, spackle the walls where needed, etc, etc. And never mind if I have paint windows. They take forever. ![]() |

The trick is not to think of it as a table... but a huge, 6mm ice world, covered with a single glacier... ![]() |

True D/S, but then again some Minis needs lots of prep work too. Especially those big mutli-part jobs. |
