Looks cool doesn't it. ?  ? Based on rumors of the plot. My only grip is going to be that they will make the Red Baron appear to be some anti-war activist. ?Which the real Baron was not. ? I have read him described as cold, distant, and very concerned about his tally. But the images are so cool I will see it as soon as I can. |

Yes, I saw on the History Channel a good show about him. He was far from anti-war. An excellent game hunter, and started out as a Cav officer. Like many from his social class. ?He hunted other pilots, like he hunted animals. And was a good shot too. But had a good sense of Chivalry and honor. ?At one point the modern German Air Force had a Richtofen Squadron (with F-4s, IIRC). ?Movies have a tendency to use "poetic license" too often ... And we used to love to play AH's Richtofen's War constantly in High School ! |

Yeah the Baron was a hunter alright. Definitely not anti-war from anything I've read. Looks great anyway!! |

I think I just messed my pants.... That looks AWESOME As you say, he was a typical European blue blood and a hunter. ?His demeanour pre and post wounding were very different too. ?I understand he was more cold and professional after his wound, but even before he was never one of these draft dodging, whale-loving, lets forgive the bad people hippy freaks! I cant wait until this gets released!  |

Yes, IIRC, 80 Confirmed Kills ... He was a cold effective hunter ... Very useful in war ... |

My old Recon Tm buddy, just sent me a recent issue of Airchair General. With an excellent article about our boy Manfred ! Good articles thru out ! SAS Raid in WWII NA, USMC in WWII PTO and Korea, Patton, Washington at Germantown, Mata Hari, etc., etc. !
