When both sides have weapons that can disintigrate almost anything,

But they can also "set phasers to stun" dont forget! :D

Sorry M/Sim, the only experience I have is with SFB boarding parties which does it by rolling with your "Combat points" type style.

Yah, I can see that now:

Officer: "Set phasers to stun..."

Sgt: "Set Phasers to max...

Hi Tas,

Thanks!

Your package is building. I'm going to clear anything I don't need out of my 'Nid box for you.

*** How many Kruthik Hatchlings AKA Raveners do you want? ***

I can probably give up at least six... maybe more if you want them.

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

Hi Maksim,

Thanks so very much. I appreciate your generosity very much.

If you have six spare, then I'd love those six. Don't leave yourself short.

To be honest, I haven't formulated a detailed army list yet, because of the paucity of my forces - I am in a "general build up and concentration of plastic & lead" phase. I'll take your expert advice on what I should have for a force of this approximate strength.

Thanks again, buddy!
Tas. :D

STAR TREK: No FASA Star Trek ground combat game exists!

Hi Everyone,

Apparently, no FASA Star Trek ground combat game exists. They were advertized back in 1986 and 1987, but never reached production before FASA apparently lost the Star Trek franchise.

The two products I recall from FASA catalogues & flyers I took out of my Battletech boxes are:

ITEMS THAT WERE ADVERTISED, BUT NOT RELEASED

http://www.angelfire.com/trek/stcsdc/FASA.html

2009 Star Trek Ground Forces Manual- Listed in the FASA spring 1986 catalog.

2016 Star Fleet Marines- This is a boardgame of tactical ground combat set in the Star Trek universe. Players simulate battles between the Marines of Star Fleet and the Klingon Imperial Marines. Each game contains basic and optional rules, full-color mapsheets, and playing pieces representing the various units of the opposing forces, including tanks and armored personnel carriers. This platoon/company level tactical game is a must for the burgeoning generals of Star Fleet or the Klingon Empire. Listed in the FASA spring 1986 catalog.

These titles were listed as "upcoming" in FASA order forms and flyers circa 1987 or 1988, but they were never actually published, as far as I know.

Shabbat Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

Just hate those "Advertised" but never released products.

Sorry you can't get them Maksim.

KAIJU: Super Figs as proxies for kaiju!

Hi Everyone,

I have been looking at the use of Super Figs as kaiju proxies for some time now.

http://www.superfigs.net/

------

ZA2 Ape-Austin $5.00

Figure ZA-2 makes a great Gorilla X from GMR:

http://fourcolorfigs.com/NewFigs/za2.jpg

------

ZA6 Patriot $4.00

Figure ZA6 makes a great robot-type kaiju:

http://fourcolorfigs.com/NewFigs/za6.jpg

------

Here are some other figures that I thought were cool:

GUARD Defense Drones
HE10 $10.00(5/pack

GUARD Attack Drones
HE11 $10.00(5/pack)

Mecha-Samurai
HE13 $10.00(5/pack)

Mecha-Gor
VH1 $60.00
(Resin Kit w/Pilot Figure)

------

Shabbat Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

I like all of these. The Drones would be fun for 15mm and 6mm.

The Patriot is a nice looking mini. I also like the fact it would not be "recognizable" as a 28mm being used in Proxy.

Hi Daniel,

That's why I love using 2"-4" as my monster scale for kaiju games... it means I can use 28mm fantasy, sci-fi and even superhero figures for my games.

And if I use my 1/285 and 6mm scale scenery and microarmor, they look right at home as giant robots, kaiju, etc.

*** Have you looked at the MI books I sent you yet? ***

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.
