And I'm waiting for new Squat minis! Oh wait... I forgot. There's not a snowball's chance in hell of that ever happening.  :;):

Hi!

We used proxies for new squat units in NetEpic DS, take a look. :)

The reason is simple DS, one reason...

...Epic 40k....

They have not forgotten (or forgiven) that flop. GW never forgets that sort of thing.
[QUOTE]

It's not my fault that E40k was a lousy game. Don't get me wrong; I liked the minis, but I thought they were overpriced. That's why I didn't buy many. The fact that I didn't like E40k didn't matter, for me at least, was a separate issue. Plus, why crucify all SG games, present and future, because of one failure?

Primarch,

I'm already familiar with NetEpic and the use of proxies, but thanks for the heads up anyway! I was fortunate enough to stumble upon NetEpic while net surfing. I think it was about the time when version 2.0 was completed. I loved what I saw then, and I've been a fan of netepic ever since.

Now you are trying to be logical and GW is anything but.  :;):

Hi!

Hehe, Dafrca has a point. GW doesnt use logic much. :;):

Seriously though, thats the way they operate. A game get ONE chance. If it doesnt sell to their expectations (i.e as well as 40k and warhammer) they dump it. Thats why specialist games have such a bad rap. They use the "pump and dump" strategy with them way to frequently.

Applying logic to GW... What was I thinking.  :p

I know GW will never be the company it used to be. I don't anticipate them ever releasing a game that doesn't require minis, or only a few minis, which is a pity since they put out some pretty good games in the past.

Hi!

SM/TL ran for close to 6 years. Good strong sales as GW's "little brother" of core games.

You could put Epic A's and Epic 40k's sales together and it probably would match a quarter of that version of epic sales at its height.

..and yes, there is no accounting for taste....  :;):  :D

Well, OK their 40k customers. If they cared about their Epic customers they would reopen the archive and drain my mini budget for the year.
