Mate- we are going to start that WoF Campaign over the next 2 weeks. Let me know if you want in so I can create the Squadron for you and set your Day 1 Missions.
Just played by first 'Dawn Patrol': Poor 2Lt 'Wee Willy' Davy went down from 16k feet as a "Flamer", some 60miles south of Cambrai. Not much left of him, the poor chap!

Hi Guys,
I have had a busy day!
As many of you know from my blog here, I lost my job and my last day of work was last Friday...
I put in my unemployment papers today and started job hunting...
I may have found a lead today and spoke at length with someone.
Meanhwile, I spent a lot of time cleaning house today. My goal is to get everything presentable and to have my miniatures collection organized again. I moved the furniture I'd bought for my classroom home (Two book shelves, some wire baskets, milk crates, etc.) and I plan to move my library on the Middle East into the living room where the new book shelves are.
This evening I went by Hobby Monkey and hung out with Chuck and Eric-Chern. They were playing a Babylon 5 space combat game. Chuck's Earth fleet pulled a decisive victory over Eric's Drazi/Raider allied fleet.
I haven't been by Hobby Monkey in ages and everyone was happy to see me. That felt good. One of the guys is cleaning out his collection and, since I've long been the Epic torch holder in my area, decided to give me his old Epic (A bag full of IG armor including Shadowswords!). It's good to be wanted!
While cleaning up, I found an Epic airport in my collection that I'm particularly admiring.
One of my goals this week is to learn how to use my digital camera and take those photos that you guys have been asking of me for so long!
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

Maksim,
I'm very glad those guys made you feel wanted and valuable (and what a top score with all that Armour!). ?I think you are better off without that particular place of employment - it certainly seemed to be a big drain on your usual happy self.
No doubt your period of unemployment will be all too brief. ?Enjoy the time to yourself, treasure the time you have to play with your "stuff" (Maybe organising some Megatrades? ) , spend time with the g/f etc . It's all too brief in the end and all those long-term projects won't get touched.
I know everything will work out for you because you are an ethical, sensible and mature person. ?
My very best wishes to you, Paul.

Speaking from experience, being unemployed SUCKS!
At first it seems kind of nice because you have all that free time, but there is nothing worse than having to hunt for a job. I was unemployed once for six months and after sending a few dozen resumes and not getting hired, my sense of self-worth hit rock bottom, with occasional feelings of hopelessness.
The most important thing to do is to keep a positive attitude. Believe me, it will get you through the dark times. Plus, you have all of us for moral support! ?

Hi Dafrca,
I liked the "Gaunt's Ghosts" tales. I borrowed them from a "former friend" up until the third or fourth book and want to finish the series. I had the same reservations you had about them, but was pleasantly surprised when I actually tried to read them... they were good!
I plan to go out and buy them so I can finish the series.
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

Hi DS and Gang,
DS: Speaking from experience, being unemployed SUCKS! |
I tend to agree...
DS: At first it seems kind of nice because you have all that free time, but there is nothing worse than having to hunt for a job. |
Well, this is my first week so I'm not too nervous... but I like having a job and regular paycheck.
DS: I was unemployed once for six months and after sending a few dozen resumes and not getting hired, my sense of self-worth hit rock bottom, with occasional feelings of hopelessness.
I felt that way WITH my last job!
DS: The most important thing to do is to keep a positive attitude. Believe me, it will get you through the dark times. Plus, you have all of us for moral support!
Thanks for the good advice.
I really appreciate all of the moral support.
Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.
