My question is, is there anything an inspired Johnny-come-lately can do to help out with this project?
Pictures of models, illustrations, additional playtesting etc?
I've lurked around for a bit on the forums, being very inspired by what I see. I have building and painting projects going for Dark eldar Forces, Necrons and Minervans alike. Would any of this be of help to you at this admittedly advanced stage of development?
Cheers,
Ares

Hey Ares-the-lurker,
Your offer is appreciated. Even though we're still in the layout (final) portion of the project, I can always try to find room for more pictures. If you have some pictures of your models for any/all of the forces, email me at moscovian@hotmail.com. They can be pics of your individual models, groups, or battle shots between the forces. Just be sure to make them as clear as possible and include your name (how you wish to be credited) in the email.
Oh, and a big thanks!

All right! I'll try and get you some pictures posted as quick as I can, probably within a week or so. Is that soon enough?
I've been wanting to add to the boards in some way for quite some time now, but work etc has interfered until now. Hope to contribute to this wonderful community in the future.

That'll be fine. While we had a pretty tight schedule of deadlines in the past, the truth of the matter is people (including me) couldn't meet the deadlines on a regular basis. After awhile I felt it was pointless to keep the expectations so high and now we're working with a deadline of "soon".
But as it stands most things are done. Here's a quick breakdown: Dark Eldar list: Done DE List formatting: Done Necron list: still waiting on changes from Corey Necron list formatting: pending Minervan 1.7 list: still waiting on changes from E&C Minervan formatting: pending Dark Eldar modeling section: Done Necron modeling section: Done Formatting for both modeling sections: Chroma is currently working on this monster Minervan painting guide: pending Minervan painting guide formatting: pending Fiction: Done Fiction formatting: I'm still proofing and tweaking while I wait but it's effectively done Scenarios: Done (still tweaking the BFG maps but its effectively finished) Scenarios Formatting: Done Cover work: Done Artwork: Done Model pictures: A lot of these are done, but I'm taking the time I've got to clean up the images to make them look more professional.
This last part is where your work would fall, so you are obviously not holding anything up. Thanks again for your offer of help!

Well, yes. The scenarios are going to be unplaytested. I'll post them soon actually but if we waited for the lists (let alone the scenarios) to be fully balanced Raiders will never come out.
My goal is to have things balanced enough. The way things are looking my best guess is even with all the discussed changes the Dark Eldar will be slightly underpowered and the Minervans and Necrons will be slightly overpowered. But the degree to which these armies are unbalanced will be small IMO and will need more than just a handful of playtests to determine what needs to be modified.
The scenarios will no doubt be unbalanced in some cases, but most people play scenarios for the fun, not for the competition. Over half of the scenarios are purposefully unbalanced to represent the fictional accounts. These are point driven so that even as your army is losing you should be able to determine who played more effectively.
In fact, I think I'll post these scenarios soon (this weekend?). They're done so I might as well.

The BFG have an intended unbalancing factor to go with the flow of the story.
Just like the Taros campaign scenarios.

As an update for everyone: Virtually everything is done and I am just formatting the pdfs to match up with each other. I'll try to keep each one under 10MB but that might mean a lot of downloads - this thing is huge!
I am only waiting on a couple of tidbits from E&C and some information on some artwork (for proper crediting) but best guess is we're looking at April 15th as the date it is due out. Something to cheer you folks up on Tax Day!!
I will post it here on Tactical Command first. Hopefully the community can pick at it and see if there are any typos or other errors and then we'll send it out to Firebase. I'm not sure which publication we'll make it into but that is all on E&C.
As an FYI, I will not be sending Epic: Raiders to Fanatic. I had a discussion with Andy Hall about it and we could not post it anywhere else if we gave it to them. Technically, I couldn't even email it to E&C or Corey as they would have all rights to it. Andy was in complete agreement and said that Fanatic would instead host a link to our work, giving us what I think is the best of all worlds.

Good deal with Fanatic. Because as it is even material which you submitted put doesn't get used still belongs to them.
Oh, on file sizes: which version are you using? Maybe you can use the option decrease size (or whatever it is called in English!).
Plus: I'd like to have one complete PDF, even if it is 100mb. Is that possible? I can always combine them on my own.

There's not an inconsiderable chance that I can still lever it into this issue of Firebase.

Side question: the entire supplement? Or some specific part?

I think we can make the whole thing available as one pdf. I was planning on doing it anyway for a number of reasons, first and foremost because of a few requests I've gotten-
Do you have any plans of printing Raiders into a book format since it woul be easier to handle and peruse. Printing your supplement doesnt seem like a cost effective idea no offense.
I was planning on printing off a few copies at Kinko's for the core creative team and the art competition winners. But is anyone else interested in a printed copy? I was looking around online and found some reasonable deals. For a run of 50 or more I can probably order a booklet format similar to Swordwind for about $25/piece. That's not bad IMO considering it will be about 30-40 pages longer with no regurgitated artwork. I could probably get the cost down further if I ordered over 250 but I'm not sure there would that much interest.
But to get back on the question, I was going to put it all in one pdf to avoid any printing confusion, regardless of whether I do it myself at Kinko's or send it off to somebody else. Another challenge is finding someway to get it to Cybershadow (email ain't gonna work).
