Cool, thanks for the link. I liked the fact they did 'crashing' picks with the stands removed and just cotton wool supporting them...nice effect. And the space worm does look nice...

Dear 'Neffers,
There is a small gap of opportunity right now to order from brigade Miniatures.
They now remove the 17.5% VAT for non-Europeans (cool, I hate paying for roads and hospitals I dont use!) BUT in a few weeks all Nefs will go up 5% as part of a genral rise.
So in the self-delusional haze in whcih I live, that means I'm now onyl paying 2.5% for poastge all the way to Australia! That is a bargain!
So I um, made a smallish order. Actually it wasnt small. Not Primarchial, but decent enough.
V - I dont know if Malta counts as Europe for VAT? And he indicated to m I could pay by either Paypal or Visa so maybe there is hope there?
Cheers! Tas Capatian Nefarious! (Maybe that should be Captain Corruptor??)

er - is the Wessex order stil on - I emailed Steve, but I can withdraw that - or add to it via Brigade |
Oh yes indeed Sir! Because a) I wouldnt do that to you without letting you know first, and b) I like those Nef minis and have factored them into my Fleet Plans, naturally!

Good luck with the nef-load Tas! If you'll forgive my nosyness, which fleets you going for? |
Nosyness is a wargamer's natural virtue RB!
Actually, Im going a bit mroe left field than usual. I want to do a "Dash in the Pacific" type series of games between colonial powers, centered the regioj from around IndoChina to Australasia. Thus I have a strongish French Fleet centered around a Carrier Group and with some Battlecruisers, then have a Central Powers Fleets around some German Digs and Austro-Hungarian Torpedo Craft. I have drafted in a few ships from other powers simply because I like them, and they will be getting drafted into some local fleets.
Naturally, the Black Anarchists maintain a powerbase somewhere in the Pacific and will be present also.
Actually, the Nefload got culled somewhat in the end - Im trying to force myself to paint these first, before going the next step which will be the Royal Navy, the Russian Pacific Fleet and of course a Squadron or two from the Land of the Rising Sun!
After that I'll be ready for the long promised Martian Fleets and move my Operations to the Red Planet - ULLLLAAAA!
One thing I will say Tas (as I work in exports), is be careful of import duty on the brigade order. |
Thanks for the heads-up. The reduction in the order should help... a little!

Sounds like some interesting fleets. Don't forget pictures when they are done
Mixing in figures from different fleets is something that appeals. I have a friend at the moment who has written some background for his Full Thrust fleet, which basically makes them out as deserters from various navies who stick together for protection. What this means in list terms is they use ships from various different navies (Islamic, Anglian, and some other odd stuff). This has met with some slight opposition from one of regular opponents, who doesnt feel this is entirely balanced (which in some ways it isnt), but it is fun, it looks interesting, and it actually has background (something often a tad lacking in FT...). Its an interesting issue, but I guess it mainly comes down to friendly agreements.
Ive had a bit of trouble getting enthusiasm up around here for Aeronef, so its actually one type of figure I havent aquired too many of. What I may end up doing is genning 'nefs using Full Thrust and playing with those rules I like the figures too much not to use the bleedin' things
>Thanks for the heads-up.
NP. As I said, its probably nothing, but Im good at paranoia

Why isnt it balanced? ?The Nef design rules are the same throughout so it doesnt really matter what their stats are- ?you pay for them...
What I may end up doing is genning 'nefs using Full Thrust and playing with those rules |
Thats a great way to convert FT players over. ?
Will you call it Aero-Thrust or Full-'Nef ? ?

Hmm. Full-'Nef appeals
