Seafood at Christmas is a normal Aussie thing - the first cath of fresh prawns is auctioned off for charity at 0600 at the Sydney Fish markets and they donate lots of money!

OK guys - time for the big Clan Tas getaway for the Chirstmas period. Off to visit my sister and some friends in Perth, Western Australia (for you Europeans thats like travelling to Moscow from London!)
I'll be back in 2 weeks, but will drop in from time to time here when I can. Hope you all enjoy your vacations and have a great festive season!
cheers!

Quote (Legion 4 @ 25 Dec. 2005 (12:16)) | My ethnic background calls for seafood on Christmas Eve! We had four different types of fish, shrimp, and crab for dinner last night! I have always loved seafood, even as a child. | I love seafood too, and we have seafood on Christmas Eve as well (though nowt to do with my ethnic heritage which would normally require eight pints of beer).
We had prawns (what you call shrimp I guess), squid, mussels, scallops and clams.
First time I have cooked clams (as they are a nightmare to get hold of) and we thought they were fantastic.
So what ethnic background are you?

Hi Jimbo,
L-4 is mostly from an Italian-American background.
*** Which background are you from, Jimbo? ***
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

I am a mix of English with some Scottish blood in me.
I am descended from the Clan McDuff (as in the Scottish Play, cough Macbeth).
On the English side I can actually trace my family back to 1300 or thereabouts when my family came over from France.
As for Italy I do like Italy, spent a lot of time over there in the 1990s and I really love Italian food. I had authentic Panettone for my Christmas breakfast.

Ahhh, but L4, what goes on during a det, stays in the det. What were they teaching you Army boys then? Even this Sailor knows that rule!
