Yes, and this applies to any German name ending with "linde", actually.

absolutely stunning pics Stug, just finished reading through every single page and I'm humbled by the quality and quantity of the pics. Just wish I could do something even a 1/10th as good!

If I have any constructive criticisms, it's mostly on the posing of the figures. You need to be careful that the plane of the hip/knee/ankle are consistent - the ganger pic on the diamond check flooring has his closest ankle rotated outwards, as if he's spinning on his toes, which looks inconsistent with the rest of his pose. And I feel bad making even that criticism :)

ps. ever thought of making a compilation? I wouldn't be averse to buying a coffee book style collection and I'm sure there's alot of people on here who wouldn't mind either. I'm sure Mosc can weigh in with feasibility etc from his own experiences.

FW-Weapons Artwork

Copyright FactionWars http://factionwars.co.uk/
No portion of this image may be reproduced, altered or in any way used for commercial and/or private usage elsewhere.

Commissioned work for a skirmish game based in the future.
http://www.factionwars.co.uk:80/Introduction/ for more info.

This is my final piece for FactionWars - the rulebook is being printed now and should be available at the end of March!!   :D

My client had coloured pen sketches of the weapons in the rulebook which needed improving, so I had a go at sprucing them up. So I used the basic concepts but then made them 'work' - making sure magazines would slot in properly and that the barrels and sights were all straight etc.

Hi mattthemuppet!

I'm so sorry for getting back to you so late in the day!!! I didn't realise I'd had another comment!

Cheers for the constructive crit - it's always useful.  :)

And thanks for the mega thumbs-up to! As for making a compilation... I've thought about it... I just think I might need a few more pics to be able to fill out a book.

Great :agree:  rounded shapes+colours remind me of tribes:vengeance weapons a bit.

Here's my latest pic, trying to get back into doing artwork again. Well, trying to squeeze in some time with the tablet alongside my newborn son!  :)

This is 1 hour's work so far, I will try my best to get it finished asap.

Right, this is about 1 hour forty five minutes altogether, I think I'm gonna say this is finished. I could clean this up a LOT more, but I think it works as it is.

A great piece for such a short time-scale!  I guess you'll be doing more pieces at this sort of speed now you've got your little fella to look after...

Cheers firestorm40k! :)

Yeah, he does take up a lot of time! It could very well be that my artwork for the time being will be mostly speed-paints.
