Not at all V - I am living my modelling through you at the moment due to rather hectic work and sea schedules....

the massed 4 Landtrains + wagons I assembled and have started painting are all VSF-bound

I knew you wouldnt let me down!

Hi all,
here's a pic of the final output of the assembly/mould line removal/undercoat fest - although I might add a couple more small items by nightfall today.
Tas - sorry, the surprise didn't make it today.  :(

As for the pic:
Andrayad contingent to the left. the single missing trooper is the paint test model, which will be glued on after his four colleagues are painted. The four scout stands are painted. I have not yet assembled the command stands for the standard warriors; and the blisters with heavy weapons troops amnd a second pack of scouts have not been opened yet.

The 3 large models on the box are the two Conrontation miniatures and the WHFB Ogre. Under the box lurk the two Gothicomp projects, which I cannot show, but which have been assembled and undercoated.

The 4 Land Trains and their assorted wagons, and the 3 dark Eldar BFG ships are in front of of the box.
To the right, a 40K Leman Russ which had some details added and which found itself undercoated in the general bustle.

So, models from 3 manufacturers for at least 6 gaming systems... what a mess! :p

Later.....
Have started painting the Ogre and the DE BFG and the Gothicomp ships.
And I finally found a solution to the Andrayad command bases - pieces of old wooden blind slats! So the two command bases are based (they're based, therefore they are :p ).

Well done V. I like that it is a scattering of scales and manufacturers. Makes for a great "Something for everyone" group shot.  :;):

Well that looks like quite an effort to get that lot done amongst your other Uni work - well done!

Some interesting looking titles there on your bookshelf... :p

Tas - sorry, the surprise didn't make it today.

All in good time :)

Fine, then in that case I request a photo of what lurks under the box, that can not be named or shown. ? :;):

I'm sad to say that today was a total wash. In a vain attempt to stay fit, I played Ultimate all afternoon, and then hosted a BBQ in the evening. Maybe I'll make up for lost time during the week.

Thanks dafrca! The motivation really helps!

ps. Did you ever get a game of FTJava going?

pps. I too request that which must not be named.  :blues:

Sigh... when I get that PhD done....

The books which get into some of my photos are usually either the ones on the astronomy shelf (as seen here) or the ones in the shelf-for-any-books-which-do-not-fit-into-smaller-shelves - you can just see a grand book in top condition I managed to buy from a clearance sale, on the terracoota army of the 1st emperor of China.

The surprise requires (shudder) a spot of very basic sculpting, hence the general trepidation....  :p

You're all reminding me of I promessi sposi, where there's a chap called l'Innominato (the unnamed one)...  :p

You'll get to see them - if you mean the stuff originaly in the box, no problemo - Skaven ships just have to be photographed :p

If it's what was in the box at the time the photo was taken, well, you will, by the 1st of August if all goes to plan.

If it's what's in the box now, it's the Andrayads seen in the shot (now with added command stands!).

No boxes were harmed or mistreated during the taking of the photo.  :/

Well, if there is one thing I have, it's patience. Some people call it attention deficeit, but that's just because they can't wait for me to crack :p

August 1st it is then! :D
