Wha... ??? :O ?Don't you know what happens if you paint all your figs?? ?:O

you'll softly and suddenly vanish away,
and never be met with...
...again..

Well I thought I was bad, but there's always someone worse out there.

Nice to know I'm not alone.

I usually don't have money to hoard miniatures. But even so, I always have a few in progress of converting or painting, so  I never have quite enough time to finish them all. The second card Dread is for example sitting half-done on the shelf for last 9 months or so.

Hehe, yeah I believe this sort of thing too... I always have unpainted miniatures... and am bidding on more auctions at the moment...but these days I have a shelf worth of bare metal and plastic, rather than an entire cupboard like I used to!!

For instance, when I say my Imperial guard army is entirely painted, I am not counting 2 plastic warlords needing weapons, 8 sprues of guard needing chimeras, a shadowsword needing two more shadowswords for a company... or the 9 artillery which I picked up yesterday  :D

However, compared to the amount of stuff painted these are just bits and pieces, not the depressing 'boxes of armies' that used to be lying around!

Counting my collection of craptastically painted Battlemechs -of a total ranging 60, only 20 are painted to a quality that I can stand - or am too sentimental on them to strip them straight away, like the oldie Battlemaster and Phoenix Hawk, who both were some of my first Mechs painted - I have a lot of things to do in case I completed all model in painting now.

Long time reader, first time poster (always wanted to say that   :oo ), and this topic caught my interest...

I, like most of you, have a lot of unpainted figs...

2 (10,000+ pts total) Warhammer Armies,both around 75% painted.
4 (all 4000+pts) 40K Armies, all around 75% painted, maybe slightly more...
A pile of Confrontation figs, not one painted!
Around 60-80 B5 ships, 90% painted
Couple of thousand assorted  points of BG, 50% painted
And epic, my current obsession:

30,000pts Guard - 90% painted
15,000+ Chaos - almost all painted! (apart from the 100 bases i just got off ebay...)
10,000+ Eldar - 90% painted (but in easy Ulthwe colours :) )
5,000 Orks - None painted...

At the moment, I'm churning out around around 20-50 bases a day, maybe painting 2-3 days a week. So most of that epic stuff has been painted in the last 4/5 months (it had been lying around for years). My paint scheme isnt amazing, but I consider it a decent play standard. The disturbing thing is I actually think Im painting faster than Im buying stuff off ebay, which I do find strange...

I am really bad at hoarding and I think that the only armies who have benefitted from my paint brush are the Tau and the Tyranids, although the Tyranids need to be redone a little but not a complete paint job.

Otherwise everything from BFG, LoTR and 40k figures are taking up basement space or shelf space. The dinner table is covered and well theres enough space on my desk to see the keyboard.

Considering all this my wife has been really good! No complaints there! ?I just have to get them painted ?:;):

In all this self flagellation on hoadring, you guys seem to have forgotten the ancient wargamers' saying:

"He who dies with his bodyweight in wargames figures- wins!"

:D

Is that just Epic or all wargames you own?

Does Terrain count?

[dafrca wonders how long it would take to weigh his stuff, realizes it is silly and goes back to eating his dinner.]
