Okay...

1) Get one army fully, completely and entirely painted for each of the main systems I play-
Epic - Daemonhunters
40K - Emperor's Children (+ my 3-year-old Forgeworld Warhound!)
Fantasy - Vampire Counts (once the new army book gets in my grubby mitts!)
I can sculpt and I can paint to a decent degree, so why are my armies so shabby? I want 3 armies I can be proud of!

2) Finalise ITF - Daemonhunters into a nice, supplement-style PDF. This is dependent on getting (1) done first, of course.

Oh yeah, Real Life stuff...

3) Go to the gym every weekday if possible, 3 times a week as an absolute minimum. Determined not to be ashamed at the beach this year!

4) Get a project finalised and research well underway for my own PhD. This will probably require me figuring out where I can get some human testicles to dissect and perform genetic experiments on...

5) Try and sort out my personal life while still achieving (4).

1. Get that near-infinite number of WIPs off my goddamn workbench - as in: FINISHED!!!
I'll try to write a list of what I've got there ATM and post in the "What Are You Working On" topic, but basically, the entire table I'm working on is filled up - in layers - AND the space in front of my computer is mostly infested with WIPs as well. Must be about thirty or so projects. And that's only the conversions...  :confuse:

2. Earn money for a new digicam

3. Ditto - to replace my current PC. I was buying the thing in a hurry and not being quite up-to-date on PC technology it took me a year to fully realize how badly I was ripped off. It's time to put together something that's actually up to modern standards.

4. Finish tweaking that old Pentium-1 I was rebuilding as a DOS gaming machine. The cooling system is really the only portion of the hardware that needs work, and all that'll be left after that is the case repaint and setting up the operating systems (properly, this time).

Ah, great, another chance to display ineptitude at sticking to resolutions:
Take a nice break - no long holiday in sight, but at least a break from overload. Er - 4 days...

Start some serious writing. Ummmff...sort of.

Complete one force for Triumph and Tragedy - most likely to be White Russians from the Russian Civil War nil

Complete my Russian Iron Stars fleet nil

Complete a decent Aeronef fleet nil

Start either my Ottoman or my Venetian 15mm army.
Ah, well, I dug BOTH out of storage...

Start my Land Ironclads troops and organise a force of sorts. nil

Paint (40K) Orks
nil

Paint WHFB Undead ah yes, 1 model completed...

Paint up my Andrayads nil

Start and complete (ha!) one of my Epic armies. Which? IG  and CSM are in a messy state, as are the Orks. Eldar? Ad Mech? Tyranids? SMs? I think Ad Mech are the strong contenders - especially the knights. Well, I started painting a couple of Eldar....

Complete any models bought in December, and from then on start a last in first painted system.
Well, three are in hand.....

Good grief, what a shambles....  :(

Good luck with (1b) Otter.

Well so far regarding progress:

Well, I need to drink less (only had one double scotch in Jan - and that was on Friday night), dance less (failed, mainly because I met the most awesome girl)and in general be more subdued down the old local... (failed)but! Apart from that...

I have a load of Dark Angels that need painting up, 1500 points assembled, primed and basecoated, just needs detailing and highlights now I still need to work on my EW full Legion project (assembled and basecoated) and i've a Warhammer Empire army that needs some (alot of) paintwork done to it (no progress).

Hi

I scrubbed my first list as too long and unrealistic. My toned down version:

1) Finish painting & basing 4,000 points Epic Tallarn IG Armoured Regt
2) Finish painting 2,000 points BFG IN fleet
3) Finish first 1,000 points of Warmachine Cygnar
4) Start painting 1,000 points LOTR Gondor force
5) Paint 5 War Points B5 ACTA EA
6) Finish 20 more fighters for Silent Death Sigurd Archdiocese fleet

Non gaming:
7) Lose 1+ stone weight
8) Find new job
9) Unpack or sort through last of my storage boxes
10) Read all dozen volumes of History Of Middle Earth (am hoping this will help inspire me with item 4).

Also had others including meeting woman of my dreams but they say that when goal setting you should be specific, measurable, accurate, realistic & timely.

Cheers

James

I don't think I'll bother with resolutions even though I managed to fulfill last year's resolution: I have a Deathsaurer now.  :D
