I decided to take advantage of JR Miniatures holiday promotion of free shipping. I've been eyeing their stuff for a while and the free shipping clinched the deal. I received my order about a week ago and I must say I'm quite pleased. I ordered some river sections, a bridge (it's hard to cross a river without one ?:D ), a pair of comm dishes and an assortment of liquid storage containers. For those who haven't ordered anything from JR Miniatures before, I highly recommend them.

Oh yeah, I'm also digging my first shipment of EW minis.

Thanks to recent trades with Otterman and Ruiza, I can now declare that my Squat army is complete. By this I mean that if I never again add anything to my Squats, I can die a happy man.  :D  Of course, this doesn't mean I won't add anything new (can you say Exodus Wars?).

Also, due to winning an auction on ebay, I'm almost done in getting at least one of each titan bit from the AT era. I'll probably be posting a "want list" soon to try to get the few things I don't have yet.

Now that I'm done with ToTW, I'm going to resume logging my projects here.

To continue the good progress I made with my Squats, in ToTW5, I decided to that I should next paint one each of the Super Heavies. Therefore, last night I started working on a Colossus, a Leviathan and a Cyclops.

While working on the Squats, I'm also going to try to fit in some terrain, specifically, ruins, woods and some stuff from JR Miniatures.

Yeah, I know I owe lots and lots of pics. At least Moscovian and Suvarov have seen my Titans first hand. I will post pics, eventually.

Sunday I met Dave for a 2100 point game of E:A at a hobby store that has a sizable gaming room in its basement. MordrekDaMean was supposed to meet us, too, but apparently his car broke down on the Mass Pike and required towing.  :(  Dave and I had an enjoyable game that easily could have gone either way. Dave won on points. The highlight was probably Dave's reinforced Leman company that just would not die! Despite the terrific beating it took with all the hits I managed to inflict, his save rolls were incredible, especially when it came to making the reinforced armor saves. We plan on meeting on a semi-regular basis in the future.    Anybody else who lives in southern New England is welcome to join us.

Before Dave arrived (he was a little late because of traffic), I decided to check out the store, which carries a pretty wide variety of stuff. I strolled over to the GW section and much to my surprise they had a couple of cans of Ultramarine Blue spray paint. It took me all of maybe a half second to decide to buy one, having killed my other one last year.

I think they took like what?  3 turns worth of fire from your tank company and a Shadowsword?  One took 2 hits from the Volcano cannon and kept of trucking.  Like I said though, they were your Russes, so you can only blame your excellent super gluing job for keeping them intact.

I'd personally like to thank my Able Company snipers as well, they took out DS's supreme commander for me.

And again, if anyone finds themselves in southern New England let us know as we love to game.

Had another close, enjoyable game with Dave yesterday. He had his IG, as last time, and this time I played AMTL, 2100 points. I had a Reaver armed with a Rocket Launcher, Gatling Blaster and Vulcan Mega-bolter, a pair of Warhounds, each armed with a Turbo Laser Destructor and Vulcan Megabolter, a Cataphract cohort, a Skitari Cohort, a Hydra battery and a Paladin Household. The game came down to points. The turning point for me was probably when my Warhounds mauled his reinforced Leman company. It ocurred to me later that this was the first game of E:A that I managed to win.

Mauled is perhaps too light a word there.  I was thinking something more along the lines of hosed or obliterated.

Congrats on the first win.  Hopefully next time I'll be dropping some Phase III 'nids on your head.
