Quote (Jimbo @ 02 April 2006 (12:08)) | All the best Maksim, hope you didn't mind my little joke!
Hope all goes well for you mate.
As for the wireless thingy, you probably have two routers on your network. You need to configure the wireless router as a wireless access point, in other words configured to NOT distribute IP addresses.
Which wireless piggything do you have? | Hi!
My thoughts exactly. I run a wireless network at home and you need to configure it as Jimbo mentions.

Quote (MaksimSmelchak @ 01 April 2006 (16:03)) | Hi Guys,
And yesterday I had a FABULOUS date with a BEAUTIFUL woman!
And, better yet, she seemed to be really into me. And I'd love to return the adulation.
Remind me to do that again some time...
And the other irony is that on Sunday, I have another date... with a different woman.
And I interviewed for a management job yesterday as well. I prefer the date. (Snip) And the other good news is that I'll probably have DSL later today, finally ending my period of SLOW modem-based Internet... my fingers are crossed.
Maybe nice guys don't ALWAYS finish last...
Shabbat Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak. | Great news on all 3 counts. Good luck M/S!!
Cheers
James

Congrats on the interview. I know how nerve-wracking they can be. I truly hate going through the whole "finding new job" ordeal.

Hi Guys,
Well, neither date looked like a one-date wonder as both women have contacted me since and are still interested... at least as far as I can tell with my clueless perceptions of what women are thinking.
To be honest, I don't really even try to fgure out what they are thinking for them. My latest dating strategy is to be genuine and treat them as nicely as I'd want to be treated on a date... sort of a mix of Voltaire, Bhudism and New Testament Christianity. What a mouthful!
Conquest Sac is set to open this weekend and I'm excited about that. More information here:
http://avalonconventions.com/conquestsac/
I have also updated my blog with a "Geek Test" of sorts:
http://6mm-minis.blogspot.com/
I hope that everyone's fortunes are well.
As a side note of sorts, I have also applied for a job in the UK and the company seems interested. If hired, I would be able to visit all of you gentlemen in the UK. And I'm not going to reveal any more details for now. The opportunity seems a bit like a pipe dream, but having a little hope doesn't hurt either.
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

I took the Geek test from Innergeek. My result: 19.52663% - Geek. According to this test I'm just a run-of-the-mill geek.
I also took the MSN geek test, scored 29% - "Stuck in the Last Century". I noticed this test concentrated more on current technology than other realms of geekdom.

Total Geek (33.13609%). Even though there were terms/persons there I've never heard of. And that includes most of the authors...
The test was the Innergeek one.

Hi, Guys
Wow! I blew you all out of the water...
I scored nearly 75%!
And I knew almost all of the authors.

Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak. | Well, in my case the ranking was no doubt influenced by the fact I watch almost no TV and go to movies very rarely.

Either we happened to tick the exact same number of boxes, or it's based on some generalization. And for saing that, I bet they'd increase my score...
