The Warbarque looks great. I like the Army pic, too. Nicely done, Mosc.

Here's one source of Ease Release- http://www.ares-server.com/Ares....D=82664

You can get it cheaper ($10 vs. $15) from Smooth-On, but their 'release agent' page is kind of screwed up right now.

Recidivist, thanks for the interest in my army.  The Aeonic Orb was made from the following:
*legs of two Tomb Spyders (the orb housing)
*plasticard
*hexagonal polystyrene rods
*semi-moon polystyrene rods
*a rubber gasket
*a tiny UV light
*a crackle marble made from vaseline glass
*a bunch of pink and yellow crystals (see pictures earlier in this thread)
*decals

The marble and light you can both find on ebay.  The marble was around $5 plus shipping, and I still have the guy's email address somewhere if you want to buy one from him directly - he was pleasant and shipped carefully / quickly.  The light was $5 plus shipping.  Vaseline glass is irradiated and gives off a green glow when illuminated by UV light.  Harmless, but cool looking.

Since the piece was going to have electronics in it, I wanted to be sure I had the ability to remove the batteries.  The rubber gasket was essential since it flexes and gives.  I am sure there are other ways of doing it, but it was circular, it was rubber, and I had it.   :;):  You can see how they assembled.

The triangular crystals were perfect because of all the little angles on them.  Once I primed them black, all I had to do was drybrush them gold and all those little lines just came right to the surface.

I could probably make another one if I could get a hold of two more tomb spyders.

Hello All,

I am in the process of building my own Necron Epic army (Piccies to follow in a week or two), I can build Destroyers no Problem, Warriors are Andrayda Troopers, Monoliths I can build.

What can I do about flayed ones, I tried modded Andraya bodyguards to suit, but it was awful.

Any ideas?

Cheers,

Alan.

Great work everyone... I hadn't seen this thread before, so I had a quick peruse while I should have been doing something else.... *ahem*

I agree with trying to do something everyday, so last night was spent shaving blades off odd figures left over from my L&tD, and sticking them onto Eldar Jet bikes to give me the Dark Eldar bikes.
