Actually, the guys I read about using em a few years back (when I actually played) used spindle mounted single or dual full auto paintball guns... they did run combined arms stuff. Not with a main gun or anything, but still very formidable opponents.

GPMG? Sure thing. The electrically-controlled paintball guns are adjustable in cyclic rate, and run full-auto @ 12 bps pretty reliably from a gravity-fed, agitated hopper (roughly 200 round capacity standard for the 'longarm' class weapons). I'm pretty sure that someone would make a very-high-capacity hopper (>500 rounds) for a 'SAW' or GPMG. Plus, I've seen 'paint(ball)-(clay)more' mines, as well as paint grenades.
I suppose that the 'main gun' could just be rigged to fire a canister of paintballs for AP work, but how'd you make it work for AT (without having to worry about the humans around the target)?

It would probably work best using 2 or more APC's with mounted MG's, supporting infantry. That way you don't have to worry about the main gun at all.

Yeah, but if you're going to throw down on combined ops, let's really throw down. M113 ACAVs are nice and all, but what I want is at least a Bradley, if not an early Merkava (nothing like an 'APC' with a 105mm gun).
Ah, forget it. Once you start throwing vehicles into the mix, you need MILES gear and lots of blanks, none of this paintball nonsense.

?? Blanks are readily available to just about anyone.
Oh, you meant the MILES gear...
As regards that Rule of Acquisition, which infantry division has the motto "Killing is our business. Business is good" ?

I wasn't talking about blanks ... I was talking about M113s, Bradleys or Merkavas (I don't know if Israel ever sold these to anyone ?) ... As far as the motto ... I'm sure that's not the official motto ... But after serving in an Air Assault and Infantry Div. + a Mech Bde ... That's all our mottos ! LOL !!!!

The day Israelis sell Merkavas is the day hell freezes over (or the day after they figured out how to kill every single person that wants the Israelis dead, whichever comes first), but it's nice to dream, right?
I prefer the submariner's motto: World destroyed in 30 minutes, guaranteed, or the next one's free!

Yep ... the Israelis don't need to sell Merkavas ... they know when they got a good thing ! Very Good motto, for the sub crews, too !
