Tau are a significant issue in this context - I just dont have enough gonads to pay FW for all the tau figures I would like to have!

Hi!
The main issue with the Tau is the cost of infantry. The vehicles are pretty good and you can get a decent amount of them.
I think the best way around the infantry is to base less models per base and perhaps adorn them to make them look "fuller" while saving models and stretching them out.
Granted its still and expensive proposition, but do you think when they get released in metal they'll be any cheaper? Probably not. So the choices are simple, collect or not, price while important, wont make much difference between FW or metal.
