In B/W Orks look fearsome, in color they remind me of bozo the clown. Funny how color or lack of it can change ones impression.

It depends on who drew the Orks. Paul Bonner emphasizes the comical side of the Orks (see my earlier post in this thread)while in David Gallagher's later artwork the Orks are IMO pretty scary looking. The Gorkamorka box cover and the cover of the Codex:Orks for 3rd edition 40k are good examples.

Ah yes the classic Dark Angels one?
I understand that this was the pic which was incorrectly coloured by the artist and that this was the first appearance of the DA in dark green vice black. Howvere as everyone liked it so much it was made the official DA colour- thus the change from Black to Green during the Heresy.
It could be an urban myth...but its a good one anywya. and a great pic regardless

In the original RT book, IIRC, (I sold mine!), the Dark Angels were painted black. And all mine from that period, the Heresy, are painted Polly's S Grimy Black ... Tas contact me ...
