The 'how to paint tanks' book I can kinda justify as it's for kids.

The water pot supposedly has some kind of brush holder thing that is supposed to be very good, but it is of course more expensive than a pot bought from a specialist art shop.

Pallette is silly.

Did you actually use PVA to glue your models together or did I misunderstand that?

No, I use the PVA for ballast and flock only.  I was listing, off the top of my head, products that G-dub offers at inflated prices that you can pick up at Hobby/Train/Art Supply/FLGS for a fraction of the prices that G-Dub sells theirs for.  TRC called shenanigans on my PVA pricing (GW = $8.25US for 4 oz, vs. Elmer's = $2.00US for 5 oz. vs. Generic = $1.00US for 5 oz.) and then we went a little tangent to the real discussion.

Remember that in '80s and '90s they were selling these paint sets (like Monster Paint Set). Those had the plastic frame there with places for water, paints, brushes and palette. I cut the palette off from one and still use it .

Oddly, I still have live paint that I use from some of those old sets.  Granted, most of it was used up or went bad, but you couldn't beat those old sets for a screaming deal compared to todays prices. :))

I wont be buying any of these but I doubt I am the target market. For water I use an old mug. For palette I tend to use plastic from opened blisters before thowing out. If I run out of blisters then I also have the plastic insert from old paint sets.

I suspect the target market is young kids / their parents who want to get everything they need to paint the figures at the same time as they buy their army.

Cheers

James
