Yeah, of all the SM chapters, the Space Wolves sort of need a new codex - although they could have done a White Dwarf job quite some time ago like Blood Angels. I'd prefer to see a new Daemonhunters codex myself, though.

Well to be fair to GW (I know it's a rarity) the current SW Codex is 3rd edition dating back to 2001- that makes it eight years old.

2001? Think 2000. The year WHFB 6th ed was released. 9 years for wolves.

Albeit dark eldars have waited about 11 years but then again such small faction that not exactly on high priority. Maybe they are trying to figure out how to make them more interesting than just "evil eldars".

Maybe they are trying to figure out how to make them more interesting than just "evil eldars".


They should try something like adding some war engines like Barges of Pleasure and Vessels of Pain and Perditors.  Heck, somebody should write a book about that kind of stuff...  :p

At least with Chaos Marines you get a texture with your color as an added bonus.  Green-brown & goopy, red & spiky, blue & changey, purple & ribbed...

Is anyone really surprised? They pretty much go Marine - Something else - Marine.... all the time. Unless a new 40K is release when it could, potentially be Marine - New Rules - Marine  :laugh:


The target 40K audience wants to play the "goodies" after all. Then maybe the baddies as the grow a bit older.
