The most incriminating evidence is the weird holes in the crawler base.

Speaking purely theoretically, I'm sure Otterman could re-cast an Ordinatus better than that... the pictures you've posted speak of some absolutely terrible casting.

So yeah, fake.

No wonder the seller didn't provide actual pics of what he was selling. I'm no epxert on casting, but even I know that's a poor casting job. If you feel particularly vindictivem, you could notify GW.

I definitely wouldn't "threaten" him... you might get yourself into legal trouble.

Simply email links to GW legal, tell them of the situation, and *inform* the seller that you have done so; taking things into your own hands spells nothing but trouble.

Heh.  By threaten I dont mean verbally abuse.  Simply point out that if he doesnt get in touch by a certain date (say two days) I will be passing the entire issue onto GW, sending them the model toether with my receipt and looking to recoup my losses with Paypal.  Oh and inform Ebay that illegal activities have been going on, together with those links you posted earlier regarding suspicious trading activity.  That should cook his goose. :D

The only reason an Otterman might cast an Ordinatus is to avoid defiling with paint the few that still exist.

Hmm,  hes still not replied.  Well, hes had his last chance, ive said that if I receive no response by friday I will presume he is not acting in good faith and will be getting in touch with GW.

Hopefully I can get them to back up that this is a fake and ask paypal for a refund.  Of course I may be completely wrong and GW may say that it is real, but very poorly cast.  Somehow I doubt that though :p

ps- has anyone else gone through similar issues?  How did it go for you? Anything I need to watch out for with GW?

Well, email sent to GW legal together with all the incrimiating trading activity hes been up to (thanks for putting me onto that chroma!)

It was actually quite funnly looking through his recent activity.

In march he bought:

1 Casting kit
3 bars of white metal
Big bag of plasticene (I think this used in the casting process?)
and *tadaa* One ordinatus Armageddon.

Since then: 6 ordinati have been sold.... Hmm... *Rubs beard*

I hope that GW are interested in this :)

Yup; You use it to make the relief side of the mold the first time you pour it.

Really? I use Kleen Klay (a sulfur free non-drying clay).  I wonder if plasticene would be easier to use.
