I don't mind the egg timer being a random time. It help[s build the suspense as you never know exactly how much time you actually have as a Marine player. I think that is a good thing for such a game.

Also I gained this response from the Space Hulk forum regarding my question above:

As long as you have LOS to the edge of the section (not a specific square) you may flame it again. All models would be hit again. As a follow up, I also think if models survived the second hit, they would still only roll once to survive each burning square they moved through.

Cheers.....

No

You had no CP left nor did you have any action points left.

You rolled double 1s. You lost, deal with it.    :Ikonforums:

Dude. You had no action points left. You were not on Overwatch.

Anyway, who cares. No-one wins every game of Space Hulk.

If it means that much to you, I am always happy to have the re-match so you can prove to all these boards that you are the manliest of them all

:handshake:

My timer runs to 3mins 15secs,

Ok now im interested, so mine is 2 mins 22, cyber's is 3 min 15, those are both out by a fair bit, what are other peoples timers running to?

From french boards, SH timer runs wrong too. Some get some at 1min 30secs, others get 2 differents time depending on the side they turn the timer. No, the SH timer is just a piece of crap.

If every SH buyer returns its egg timer to GW, could they expect something ?

2:40 for my timer (ended up buying last copy in shop here...).

Anyone know how much it's supposed to be??

Was it 2:30 in original plus 30" for every so many terminators or something??

The third edition is supposed to run at 3 minutes (the battle report in the latest WD UK says this), although I find it amusing that the timer is just referred to as 'the length of time that the Space Marine player has to complete his move' and the actual time limit is avoided!

In first edition (if I remember correctly) was 2mins 30 secs + 30secs for each sergeant or commander.

Any guesses on the 90-day value of a mint Space Hulk '09 box?

Is there reason to believe that a Hulk-bubble might encourage reissue other limited print runs (say Kislev bears?)

Seems to me the limited run strategy is a good way to drive web traffic, and not a bad way of boosting sales for GW.

There is already some muppet on Bartertown taking offers for a copy.

Latest update is that he wants $200 for a box. Sad thing is, he may get it.

Been toying with the idea of listing my copy (still unopened) on ebay for $160.

Nothing wrong with that dude. If the demand pushes it up to $200 or more, then go for it.

So has anyone seen any hard numbers on how many copies are in this limited run?

I saved one of my three copies in the wrapper, we'll see what it fetches in 2-3 years or more.

Interesting thing: if the prices shoot up too high, I might want to short my rare Warmaster minis -- on the logic that GW will likely play around with this limited edition reprint idea more often.

GW's online store is sold out of SH in the United States, by the way -- a little slower than on the continent, but not bad.

I believe that I read some where it was 100,000 copies, Can't remember where that number came from. If I find that post I will add it to this.

:p

100,000 sounds low to me, but I could be wrong.

I'll be picking up my copy tomorrow when I meet Dave, et al. for Epic. The Time Machine, where we play, pre-ordered a bunch, but I haven't had a chance to get it yet, because it's about 40 minutes from my house.
