Heh heh heh... on the throne...

Edit - yes, I pre-ordered, and yes, I'm paying attention.

Played 4 games of the suicide mission today, twice as stealers, twice as marines.

First stealer game I ripped through the sergeant and two termies with a single stealer in the third turn, boxed the flamer and last termie in the first turn before flooding it with stealers.

Second stealer game I couldn't get any blips other than 1s and failed to wound in combat, lost.  The sergeant acounted for at least 6 stealers in combat.

as the marines I couldn't fail to jam my storm bolters.  In one turn my sergeant used all 6 command points to unjam his storm bolter and carry on firing.

Loved all games and can't wait to get my own copy.

I'm going to pass on the little crawler thingy. However, if you guys like the idea of an AM repair doo-dad, sketch something up and we can consider it.

Incidentally, Bella and I have played a couple of games. I made up some rules suitable for her. However, she enjoys re-rolling the dice to get the desired results.

4 of us played 5 games of cleanse in about 3 hours last night.  Had an absolute blast!

All game components are truly a work of art. Stunning.
(With exception of the rather delicate looking egg timer...)

Few differences from 1st, notably the Assault cannon, Thunderhammer, being in early standard missions. Being able to redraw command pips if you have a seargeant. Sustain fire only ever gots to 5's to hit (but you get it even on overwatch!).

Fantastic, highly recommended.

I played a few games earlier in the week as well, great fun. Were all the minis in the set digitally sculpted?

That plastic egg timer looked a bit flimsy to me as well, seems strange to put so much effort into the rest of the box then skimp on that.

I bought me a copy, considering a second copy for use in either bigger games, or a scifi game of our own devising.

Mine has just sat there in the box ever since I git it.

I must get it out and play it sometime this week    :)

It isn't just flimsy, either, it's pretty inaccurate, too. A bit of a let-down when so much else in the box screams 'quality'.

Random turn length?  That could add to the suspense.

can you shoot the flamer twice into the same area (you can see the first square of a section I believe for the 2nd shot) to force all genestealers to have to make 2 saves?

I know it is probably a rare instance, but a genstealer surviving 2x 2+ hits got through and killed the flamer guy in the first mission. The question came up whether the marine player could have placed two templates in the same region.

Anyone?

Buckled in and bought a copy whilst at Into The Breach this weekend; the thought of missing out on it was too much and with much geekout all weekend i couldn't help it!

My timer runs to 3mins 15secs, so a bit long for a turn of Space Hulk, but ironically it will make a great egg!

I am pretty sure that you can multi-flame the same board section, since you are paying in both ammo and APs for the second attempt.

From french boards, SH timer runs wrong too. Some get some at 1min 30secs, others get 2 differents time depending on the side they turn the timer. No, the SH timer is just a piece of crap.

If every SH buyer returns its egg timer to GW, could they expect something ?
