I want to paint a miniature and give it to my girlfriend for christmas gift. Problem is that I have too much to choose from.
The miniature must meet the following three req's: -Be a GW product -Not cost more then Ł10 (if part of a multi-mini blister then divide the blister price by qty of minis inside) -Represent a female character
Any suggestions?

Hi,
possibly a LotR fig? Arwen or Eowyn maybe. Easy to recognise and represent beauty and all that other chick stuff . (just don't get her the Balrog! She might take it the wrong way.)
Cheers, Freshmetal

Quote (Justiniel @ 21 2004 Oct.,16:00) | The SOB saint looks like an excellent mini, perhaps that. | Really nice model, gets my vote.

Mmmmmm.....Balrog......mmmmmmmmmm Seriously, any of the SoB would be nice, or the LoTR suggestions would work also. There are also the Escher gangers from Necromunda, they are good too.
my 2cents,

Sigh - I can't see my wife getting thrilled over a model I made for her - in my case it had to be an entire game I'd designed - using GW miniatures. This was some 13 years ago.... then again, if I had to give her a miniature today, it'd have to be a sailing ship - and still in the box. She builds them herself, and is far better than I am. There's an idea - would she be interested in painting it herself?

Well, Sister was the choice last time round. Now I was thinking something maybe around the lines of an Eldar Banshee...
Necromunda miniatures are locally unavaible.
Vanvlak, this is not an option. A painted miniature is a much better gift then an unpainted one.
I found it that in a country with so small number of wargamers, a miniature can be a good gift idea simply because it is so non-standard.

Here are some suggestions.
1) A female Tanith first trooper (see Tanith Ghost 1 here)
2) Warrior Woman or Rocket girl in the Last Chancers.
3) Phoenix Lord Jain Zar.
4) Howling Banshee Exarch.
I don't know if any of the more exotic ones (Tanith, Last Chancers) are locally available, though.

Pity you only want GW miniatures; Reaper Miniatures has a shedload of female minis.
In fact, I bought a couple hundred bucks worth a few days ago, so I can give them out as Christmas presents to my RPG-gaming friends.

Oh, and there's some truly stellar miniatures available from chronopia/confrontation/celtos etc.
