Personally I find the concept of file sharing exceptionally distateful, however, if you could do me a favour and look after the off site back up of my fanatic mag I would be most appreciated. I will MSN you when it arrives.

Well we'll have to wait and see ... but from what I can tell we won't see Fan Mag 1 in the US unit Jul-Aug ?

Wahoo. I got my WD and Fanatic mag yesterday. The mag is okay, although I'm shocked at it being ?4.
I think I will probably subscribe, as It has the potential to become areally good mag. For a start, there's hardly any of the adverts that are plastered all around WD.
And I'm sure epic will start having a real prime spot as more lists are released.

I liked Andy Chambers NetEPIC reference in the article at the back in reference to Epic40k... definately worth a giggle.

Yes, the G/W US Trolls confirmed Fan Mag 1 in June-July for the USA ... (hopefully) ...

BTW: From Andy Chambers - Fanatic Magazine
We're all very pround of the lean, tightyly coordinated rules we created from our experiences with Space Marine. We cut down on weapon and unit details threw the emphasis onto them as components used in creating personalised detachments, each of which would equate to the size of forces used in 40k games. Epic 40,000 produced fine, sprawling battles and permitted the easy integration of Titans and flyers into an effective all-arms force. The game was really enhanced by good concepts for army morale and the blast marker system, making games a real nail-biter from start to finish. |
And onto the next paragraph..... RSI settling in....
However, reactions to the new system were mixed. Many veteran players missed the character of Titan Legions and Space Marine. We had created something with all the clean lines and abstract qualities of modern art, beloved of games designers and German board game manufacterers, but a game for the tabletop needs grit and detail to really have soul. How strongly this was felt became obvious with the development of Net Epic, a crossbreed of the systems created by a body of players on the web. As Head Fanatic, Jervis has now carried that big old Epic torch further with Epic: Armageddon and its future suppliments. I really love the game he's come up with because it takes the best of those predecessors into a gritty, but dynamic new game. |
So does that mean they are admitting the NetEPIC team held the torch for a while?
