A long shot, but having been through every 'show us your workspace thread' on here, B&C, warseer and dakka, I've run out of ideas! It doesn't help that I can't remember which forum I saw this thread on, so I'm having to turn to others for help!

A while back I saw a thread that detailed one guys brilliant efforts at making a custom desk for himself - he'd just moved house and had been allocated a space in his new bedroom (newly sharing with his wife/gf) where he could set up a paint/modeling table. He decided to build his own and had a reasonable sized desk with the genius idea of putting a liftable 'lid' on it so modeling/painting projects could be left in the desk, and the lid closed to protect/hide the models at the end of a session. There where pictures in the thread of the space before the table, construction and replies suggesting ideas of attaching tools or fold down shelves into the lid etc. It looked a bit like an oversized old-style school desk.

I am about to move house and, inspired by this guy, would very much like to try something similar. However, I can't find the thread and can't think of what other search terms to use (I've tried many combos of 'desk, workspace, bedroom, moved house, make my own, lid etc'). Can anyone else remember it/ have a link to it/ have any links to other such projects or products?
