Im finishing up my probability calculator if you guys are interested... If i know my terminology (which i dont because im an art major and i didnt really pay attention in intro to statistics) its an empirical probability calculator more specifically.
I made the program so that no one would ever have to spend an hour trying to figure out that theres a 91% chance of getting 1 hit with a flak battery, but you can use it for other stuff too...
If you really wanted, you could see what the percentage of getting no hits at all in your first turn is... though i dont know why you would want to...
anyway as soon as its bug free Ill post a link.

Ack!! flashback!! A long time ago. Back when I was in middle school and playing ED 1 advanced dungeons and dragons. I got my hands on a program for my tandy computer that would figure probablities, check to see if your dice were rolling true and was also a dice roller. I played with it for about a week but could figure out how to apply it to the game.
post yours vitamins maybe I can figure it out this time around.

the way mine works is if youve got a 1 in 6 chance of gettnig a success (say... a 6+ in a GW game) and you want to see what the chances are for rolling 5 dice like that, youre supposed to just put in
1,1,1,1,1
theres nothing stopping you from figuring differing numbers out too... so for a bane blade, if you wanted to see how many hits you could get total against tanks, you would put in
3,3,2,2,1
it doesnt really factor in saves, but you should also be able to use it to figure that out too.

i know its been a while since i posted about this but i thought itd be a nice time for an update. I decided itd be better to have the calculator be in flash rather than a webpage, so that people could just save it to their harddrive and use it whenever they want, rather than having to go to a particular webpage or whatever.
I have a somewhat working version the numbers come out correctly, as long as you put in the same number, (which i suppose is useful if you want to findout what the chance of hitting with 6 volcano cannons is or something like that) but im gonna try and fix it completely by the end of this week.
Anyone whos interested in the version i have right now could email me at bilgedasto@earthlink.net and ill reply with the swf file i suppose.
