For the last week or so I have not received a single mail from any of the groups I'm subscribed to, nor have the mails I've sent reached any of the groups there. Has anybody else had similar problems lately? I can still use the web interface, but that's somewhat more cumbersome.

Mojarn,
Yahoo is having problems right now. Hackers have broken through much of their defenses. Advertizers and other SPAM-sters have found ways around Yahoo.
On the other hand, I'm getting my messages.
Check with your ISP.
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

Hi!
I have expereinced the same thing Mojarn, but since I have to e-mail accounts subscribed simultaneously to the groups I still get mail, but one of them is "silent" to posts from the yahoo groups.
Check and see if you settings are okay.

..I'm getting all my group mail okay at the moment, though I have noticed "silent" days in the last couple of weeks..

I got banned because I have the name webmaster in my email address and apparently us webmasters/postmasters are to blame for all the spam they are getting .
So had to create and use gambit@netepic.org instead - which is confusing for everyone else, at least with a webmaster email address you know who you are talking too.

Hi!
Yahoo is such a pain, is there another alternative?

there are alternatives, but very few (if any) free ones...
My ISP allows me to run a mailing list, but it certainly would not have the flexibility that the Yahoo ones do.
The other advantage of Yahoo, is that it can attract people to an Epic list that otherwise may never get to a private one.

Hi!
Unfortunately you speak truth. Some years ago I delved into this and there are several free programs that are quite good to run a mailing list off your computer, but ISP issues and a whole host of other problems make it less attractive than Yahoo.
I guess we are stuck...
