With its coverage in the latest WD and online, you've probably realised that this GW game is set for imminent release. I've been surprised so far by the previews and screenshots, it actually looks like this game actually might be quite good. A few of the reviews have been complementary, but a bit confused  Like commenting on all those D20 used in W40K and complaining that humanity was still using autoguns in a futuristic setting. A few have even said it might be the best FPS on the PS2! I'll probably getting for my playstation sometime in the next month.

some of us manage to play the game at the gamesday and as first impressions go I quite like it.
It wasnt that bad when you compare it to quake, unreal 2, unreal tournament 2003.

Yeah, it looks good- as for the storyline- You take the role of a young Tau Fire Warrior, who's commanding Ethereal has been captured by Imperial forces.. to rescue him, you must contend with Space Marines, Imperial troops and Chaos at some points too... the shots I've seen of it so far looked great, and I look forward to having a go..

You're a new Tau Fire Warrior, hence the name. You have to rescue your Etheral and pass your "Trial by Fire". First part of this is in a Tau v Imperial battlezone and the second in the Imperial prison proper, where you rescue the Etheral. Then you go back to your ship for a cup of tea and a few biscuits, but an Imperial boarding part rudely interupts your hard won down time. Annoyed at the interuption you follow them back to their Emperor battleship and reap your vengence. Just as you're about to to capture the Imperial fleet commander, the Ultramarines turn up and tell you Chaos is coming. Then things get really dark..

The Amazon website says UK release is 26th September. As for the mini storyline review, basically it's all in WD

Hi!
Thats for the summary, sounds like a 3-d shooter I may pick up when its out...unless half-life 2 gets there first....
