Yes
And also in fairy land new models would come out monthly and new lists would be created by GW staff, not the faithful forum folk.

I played Final Liberation when it first came out and enjoyed it. I would probably still play it occasionally if it ran on my current system. I liked the variety of troops, ability to customize forces, and that the casualties and wrecked vehicles remained on the battlefield. Unfortunately, the game would sometimes lock up and I would have to reboot and lose the current game, which was frustrating to say the least.

Go dig it out it is good fun, although not sure what rule set it was based on (3rd?)
The best Games Workshop PC game to date (bar Dawn of War) has got to be Dark Omen. That was an awesome game. Loved playing that. Nice learning curve, really difficult towards the end though.
Campaign was excellent (as long as you didn't have to many casualties) multiplayer was good fun as well. (You could keep the spoils of war e.g. defeated enemies magic items!)

My mate got Final Liberation a few years after we'd stop playing Epic. To be honest thought it was pretty naff as because its virtually an epic game on screen you may as well play with the models.
It was playing DofW / Winter Assault that sparked a re-interest in Epic for me. DofW is fantastic.

I wonder how hard it would be to make a mod for a TBS game like Massive Assault or Steel Panthers using Epic units and stats. Wish I knew something about computer game programming.
