My condolences to you. I've had two close grandparents pass away in the past 10 years and I know what it is like to walk into a room half-expecting someone to be there and suddenly having to remind yourself they are gone forever.

Hi!
I'm sorry to hear this Dafrca. Congestive heart failure complicated by diabetes is a dangerousand oftenr lethal combination.
I hope you can find solace in the fact that she died in her sleep without pain and at home as she wanted. It is as merciful a demise as humans are allowed.

I too have had a bad year. No one as close as a parent, but not far off either. My thoughts are with you and indeed with all who lose a loved one. Her memory will always be with you, and the ebbing of the pain will bring a flood of fondness for the joy she brought to you during what was evidently a long and love filled life. Rest in peace, Mother of Dafrca.

I want to thank all of you for your support, kind words, good wishes, and prayers.
We are doing OK as a family. My sister has thrown herself into the plans, my father seems to be doing as well as can be expected under the circumstances, and I am doing well. I have my moments of sadness but I know she is far better off now with no more pain and free of her body.
