i ordered some stuff from the chaos orc site, not for the first time. you all should know if your thinking about useing this service that you may not recieve the mini's advertised in the picture.
what really steamed me this time however was that he had two listings for griffon blisters, 1 with the older style with the doser blades and stuff for $14 and another pictured without for $7. i ordered the more expensive one because i wanted the parts for a project. the next day i look at his site and the picture of the $7 griffons is gone and the $14 ones with the cool accesories are still there. so i e-mail the guy and tell him i'm pissed and he outta send me what i paid for, or i'll post here and let everyone know it, cause to me this is obviously intentional.  what does he say, well mr. customer service calls me a lier and can i please not use his site anymore. as if i would after that.
well just thought i'de share my angst and maybe save someone else getting ripped off.

hmmm. i wonder if he'll say nasty things about me on this board now ? i'll let my own rep. with trades and honesty speak for itself thanks. :)

I would strongly advise anyone dealing with this person to think twice before selling and or trading with him.  The Griffon tanks that had been listed on my site for $7.50 have been sold out for well over a month.  The ONLY Griffons that I had left have been listed at a revised price.  As far as I know, GW never released two variations of the Epic 40K Griffon blister.  The product codes in both pictures are exactly the same.
Below I am posting the EXACT message that I received from this person the day after he placed the order.  As you can see its an EXTREMELY rude e-mail.

"so I ordered a pack of imperial gaurd griffons off your site, they were of the older veriaty with the dozer blades, they cost me 14 dollars, you had another blister without the "vehicle accesories for 7 dollars. now as i await my order i see the pack i paid a premium for is still advertised on your site and the other is gone. i hope you send me the right blister or i will be sure this mistake is intentional and you will lose a good customer. i will also report this as an intentional mistake on "taccomm" and several other bulletin boards. have a nice day.
 -scott johnson"

Based on his rude and threatening comments, I instructed the person never to place another order on my site.

I will not tolerate threats and attacks based on what "might" happen.  If he had a mistake with his order when he received it, I would have gladly sent out a replacement, but instead he attacks me before his order has even been placed in the mail.

I am sure that the members of this board will see my point, and if anyone feels that I am in the wrong here, please feel free to say so.  Also I will foward his e-mail to anyone that may be interested, in case anyone doubts my words.

Also if anyone doubts my honesty as a seller, please check both me Ebay and Bartertown references.  I have several thousand great transactions with many wonderful and honest buyers.

Thank you for your time and have a great day.

The Griffon tanks that had been listed on my site for $7.50 have been sold out for well over a month.

Then why are they still listed?
If your site is out of date then there needs to be a warning that items on the site may not actually be available please check Ebay for what is currently available or some such.

Is it an attack or a customer voicing concern.  His email does not appear to be directly attack you, he is just saying that he is going to inform others of his experience in regards to your selling.  Would you not do this if thought you bought 1 thing, saw it still for sell and the cheaper version no longer available?
The email is shown in stream of conscious.  Yes it could have been more polite and along the lines of - "I thought I was ordering this, which is still listed, but this which I did not order but is similiar is no longer listed.  Was there a slight mistake?"
He said he is not going to use your site anymore if the product he ordered is not what he receives.  So he is not going to use your site.

oh, and in all fairness i havn't even recieved the order yet and if he does send me the right stuff i shall post a retraction.

Probably would have been best to wait anyway.  I always try to wait for items to arrive to leave feedback.

In general, ChaosOrc, illuvitar wants to purchase the more expensive minis.  Is it so hard to go ok - sure you can get the more expensive item and sorry about the confusion the cheaper one has been gone for a while.

This had me baffled - now I understand.
Customer pays shop $14
Then sees an advert dissapear, not the one they expected.
Based on that sends above email.

I think its a somewhat harsh mail. Nothing yet had gone wrong. Perhaps I'm too polite but i don't threaten until I have in this case the wrong models in hand. Rather would have sent reminder/question about what was going on. Bad day at work illuvitar? Or just bad experiences elsewhere? I've been ripped off before by others (not ChaosOrk, indded I got a good load of tanks from him!) so I can understand your suspicions.

Prob a good idea for the site to have some mechanism where the quantity updates if any orders are placed automatically as part of the buy now button or somesuch.

Illuvitar....

lets say yuo ordered a banana, the last 1. The shop only has 1 orange left apart from the banana.

If you buy the banana and the shop sells the orange but the shop got another banana so it seems they didnt sell it...would you mail that to them?

they were and next day they were changed, that's how i'm sure it was intentional. in the past i've recieved broken minis from this guy as well as plastics covered with gloppy red enamel but since i was using parts for convertions i didn't complain. when i recieved figs different from what was pictured i ordered again and requested i get what was pictured ( i figured i could use more than one vertion of chaos land raider). but this was the last straw. now he sais the griffons for $7 were never listed ? well thats just out and out a lie, plain and simple. so i'm more than done ordering from this genious, i just honestly wanted to warn you all, and thats what the e-mail was supposed to say, hey if you shaft me on this i'm gonna warn others your dishonest. i don't call that a threat.

Hello,
The site is updated the second something is purchased.  When an item is sold, then the item is automatically removed from the site.  I have two blister packs containing Griffon tanks.  One of these sold, the other is still for sale.  Both of these were listed under the same listing, for the same price.

A month ago I had a blister pack of griffons for sale, these sold soon after I listed them, and have not been on the site since.  They were not online at the time you placed your order.

If I am wrong, then someone please correct me, but as far as I know GW only ever released one blister pack for Epic 40K griffon tanks, and as I clearly indicated, the product number codes on both packs are the same.

If you received something that was damaged, then why did you not kindly contact me and ask me about it?  I would have gladly refunded your money, and or sent out replacements.

orangesm: The site is updated automatically, as soon as something sells, the quantity is changed.  If the quantity hits 0, it is removed from the site.  The listing for Griffon tanks that was on the site was 14.00.  The last time I sold a blister of Griffons for 7.50 was several weeks ago, and that listing sold out.  When I found more they were listed at a higher price.  I did have a listing for three loose Griffon tanks at 7.00, and those sold recently, but they were not in a blister.
His e-mail to me was certainly an attack.  It was not expressing concern over a possible problem.  It was explaining that if the order is messed up, he will post negative messages on numerous boards, with no chance at all for fixing the problem.

Again I will state that I will no longer do any business with illuvitar.  I am sure many will have the same feelings after reading this message.

Thank you again for your time and understanding.

The_Real_Chris:  I am sorry I missed your part of the message.  What you described is exactly what my site does.   I only add new items, I do not deduct old items.

Also I am very curious to know what painted miniatures you purchased from my store.  As far as I know, I have never sold painted items in my store.

o.k. i guess i just made the whole thing up, hallucinated the two different listings with two different pics. and posted this for no reason at all. but why ? there is no "mistake" here.
but i will not be involved in some kind of flame war with this clown , i like this site and the people i've met here too much. so believe what you will, im done with this thread.
C.S. sorry to post all this on your board , didn't think he would really get on and slam me as a person for telling the truth about our transaction, honestly just didn't want to see anyone else be dissapointed. and then felt the need to defend myself.
oh yes, and i did send him exactly that e-mail, i admitt it was neither tactfull or in anything like a positive tone. i was pissed and probably should have waited till i recieved the order to complain. but hey i was MAD,and as i stated before he changed the listings on his site the next day so he could sell what i'de paisd for to someone else. oh well we all do stupid things when we're mad. sorry to anyone on the boards whom this whole mess offended.
