As per subject. Yeah, I know. Don't laugh too hard, please.

I didn't even realize these existed until yesterday. If anyone is willing to part with them (any piece, I lack everything), let me know.

Luca

Thanks for the welcome.

On the topic of Exodite: I'm in the process of reacquainting myself with the Netepic army lists, due to my will to write the NetEpic Hardware book (a.k.a. "The big book of Netepic minis").

I was in for a bit of a shock reading the Eldar one. Does it really make sense to devote a substantial part of the core (i.e. non optional) list to detachments that the overwhelming majority of players will never be able to field? Exodites, if I'm not mistaken, were never released. And Eldar knights aren't that common either... ok, they were officially released at least, but how many can field detachments of three of them?

We can hope the situation will improve with the release of the new Eldar Epic range (bwahahaha, like I trust GW :p) but maybe we will need to look hard for suitable replacements.

Ok, *I* need to know which replacements are available so I can write the book, so you'll better give me suitable suggestions

Ah, one last question: I understand those were briefly available in the old US archive section of the online store, which doesn't exist anymore. But... are actual minis still around in some GW warehouse, or was the archive physically destroyed? And what about moulds?

Welcome Aboard ! ?Good luck on your quest ! However, after buying Epic from G/W US for a decade (+), the state of the old Epic molds is unknown. ?The Exodites were available for couple of years a few years back ... With the existence of Epic being in question, based on recent internet chatter, who knows what the future holds ? ? ? ????

Welcome, Magnus (as in primarch, 1000 sons?),
well, there are several options:
1 - use proxies - either non-GW or 'counts as' stuff.
2 - use counters
3 - get the miniatures off ebay - the knights are quite common; the exodites, of course, far less so.
4 - convert your own - not too easy, in this particular case, I'd admit; perhaps converting or scratchbuilding a suitable proxy might work.
cheers.

The original source of the nickname was indeed the primarch of the Thousand Sons. It got "altered" to reflect the nickname of a famous italian comic artist (Magnus of TNT fame... although I doubt you've heard of him).

As for the options... #2 is out of the question. No counters contaminating my armies, thank you very much

Ebay, I had a look and no results for the last month. Usually, anything which doesn't appear for a whole month on Ebay is rare enough to be out of my price range...  :(

1 and 4 look feasible. Any pointers on suitable minis? Plastic dinosaurs of appropriate look and size would go a long way toward facilitating a conversion. Of course, if there's some mini company producing sci-fi dinosaur-riding 6mm elves figures, that could be even better....

Wait... I think that Jervis will eventually rerelease this army.

Shalom,

Hi Luca - if you're from Italy, we're neighbours - I'm Maltese.
With regards to ebay - hurry - this ends in 3 hours:
Eldar knights!
I'd agree with the counters, I included it for completeness sake. As regards proxies/conversions - The old Slaaneshi riding beasts from the Chaos sprue might work (you could always say your Exodites are decadent). Dark Elf cold one knights are unfortunately out of scale (too big); and beyond GW I'm a bit lost as to what's available. Any ideas, anyone?

Cheers. :D

I would look at making conversions. The Warmaster Lizardmen would be a great source of lizard mounts, and flying reptiles. Add a Guardian or Eldar (without hat) and you are away. Actually, I may give this a go myself...

5 OOP Eldar Knights

Just a small note, not all the figures in this auction are old Eldar Knights.

One is an old 40k Ghost Warrior. Now that might still be worth owning, just did not want someone buying it and not knowing.

Here is a picture from SOL: Catalog Page
