I am looking for the soft metal sprues and flashing that is of so common on our mini's. Especially the very thin long bits of flashing. Obviously I need to get enough of it to make it worth shipping, so just PM me and we'll discuss. Keep me in mind if you just recently made a large purchase or you will be making a large purchase of mini's - as this is the best time to harvest the metal. On the flip side, does anyone know of anyplace to get soft metal that is spun this thin? Many thanks! |

I'm not sure if it's too thin for your needs, but for soft metal that's spun thin, look for solder that's used on IC boards. It comes in spools. |

Integrated Curcuit board, like the ones that appear in all electronic gadgets. |

I looked at some of the solder out there and I need it THINNER than that. If you loko at the flashing it is really thin, in many cases thinner than a pin. |

Thinner? I'm guessing the solder for IC boards I've seen is about .5mm. |

Yeah, that's too thick. I need something in the neighborhood of 0.1mm-0.25mm thick which would be the approximate thickness of most flashing. |

Perhaps I'm asking the obvious question... but I'm now really curious... what on earth do you need something that thin? And you can get soft copper wire extremely thin from model shops - I'm sure it's as thin as you describe. Is that the sort of thing you're looking for, or flat surfaces? |

If you really need wire that thin, get some multi-strand electrical wire. Go find a house that's being re-wired (or a new construction office), and talk to the electricians. They'll probably be more than happy to find someone to get rid all their wire scraps for them. |

If you must know... It is for Flayed Ones and Wraiths. The flashing works perfect for their arms and claws since they are thick in one direction and thin in the other. I just ran out while making my other conversions. Would be nice to have a stock of new flashing ready when I move into the new place without buying $100 worth of models... (Can you imagine explaining to my wife how I bought all these models JUST FOR THE LEFTOVERS!?!) |

Or if you have old speaker wire kicking around, you could use that. |
