I'm looking for some things which are passable for Defilers and a Daemon Prince. As it stands I have stuff which can fill in (or can get stuff to fill in) for just about everything else I have in my current idea for an army... But I'm missing bits to use as a Daemon Prince and as Defilers. (Well, I have something I could use as a daemon prince, but I'm likely not to, since he's so huge.) Anyone have any ideas of what would make good stand-ins for these? |

Daemon Prince: What God? For defilers, I believe I've seen a nice looking conversion made from an old plastic rhino & spiderlike metal legs from... somewhere. Sorry I can't be more specific lol. |

For Daemon Princes just look at the Warmaster stuff. ?They have specific Daemon Princes which look pretty cool and some of the other characters are equally usefull. For a defiler, how about: ![]() http://www.reapermini.com/gallery/cav/7038_G |

Yeah, that could work as a defiler, zap. Who makes it? Or is it scratchbuilt? |

That looks great. Should be pretty easy to stick some claws and extra shooty bits on it. Zap, have you seen this in person? Any idea of it's actual size? CAV has alot of nice looking stuff. Esp. VTOLS (which I love) Just no way to know how it compares to Epic scale. |

I'm planning a World Eaters army (yay, rampaging psychotic melee-monsters who totally defy the old fluff where they were skilled and awe-inspiring warriors and tacticians!) and someday a Thousand Sons army, cus they're neat. That is an aweesome thing to use as a proxy... Where's it come from? I'd love to be able to acquire 3-4 of those as stand-ins. I've looked at the Warmaster stuff and am likely to buy a Warmaster Bloodthirster and maybe Lord of Change, cus they're neat. But I'd like to find something which has that 'Big dude in freaky magic armor' feel to it, which none of the daemon princes in Warmaster do (What's with all the naked daemon princes anyway? You'd think at least those of Khorne would have the same brass armor the bloodthirsters do!) |

I've converted daemon princes using Trolls and Minotaurs as the base body. That makes them big enough to be impressive but not necessarily big enough that people think they should be a vehicle. I usually surround them with Terminators to explain their massive armor save. Thousand Sons: Minotaur body, Chaos Terminator head and shoulders, sculpted robe from green stuff, replace axe head with staff Emperor's Children: Minotaur torso, legs from Steed of Slaanesh, sword from Chaos Champion, whip made from wire Doomguard: Troll Torso and head with Minotaur horn for the forehead, Minotaur arms, Chaos Terminator Legs, 40K Ork knife trimmed down for scythe World Eaters: No Khorne. Khorne sucks. Neener, neener, neener. |

The thing is from the CAV range. There's a link under the photo. I've seen them in the flesh once...pretty decent size...probably about correct for a Epic Difiler from what I know of them. I'd just add the top of an Orc plastic dready to it for a quick conv. |

The CAV Spider may be a little large (leg span of about 5cm across - toe to toe). The DRM Voran might work well as a Defiler Proxy. |

Actually, the Thousand Sons champion stand had a mishap at the last game, resulting in several detached models and broken halberds (wire hafts and plastic axeheads). The EC has none of the honor guard yet (they will get a mix of swords and whips also). The Nurgle prince is not even mounted. |

CS, Do you know if the Spider comes one in a pack or 2? It seems a little unclear. When you go to the link, it says 2 complete vehicles, but in the online store, it doesn't mention that it comes with 2. |

No. It is one vehicle... I have one of these ready for some paint. I will take a couple of pictures for scale. |
