Have you guys seen the "New Dropship" being sold by Alpha Forge? $19.95 for a cardbord mock-up that looks like a card board mock up. This is not a hoax. If you go to their website you will see for yourself. I just bought 2 Resin 28mm dropship styled VTOLs for $16 each. Who do they think they are, Games Workshop?  dafrca |

Well, what if you have a cardboard army fronted by a politian? it would be just what you would be after. Probably they realised how pants it was, figured out likely number of sales then divided development costs by that

I bought a pair of the old Grendal Corvus VTOLs. I thought it would be OK with 15mm. The Cockpit will look a little large, but so be it.  Here is a picture of it, of course I will post a photo with my stuff once they arrive. dafrca |

But just think, when the AA hits it, you can really light it up! You can't do that with your crappy resin. That's gotta be worth something, right? Also, the paint job is an integral part of the model. When you put it at the bottom of the carrying case, with all those miniatures on top of it, the paint job will survive! Do that with resin or metal and there will be paint chips everywhere! Clearly you guys just haven't thought the benefits through.

Oh, yeah, the Grendel one. That's pretty nice. I'm thinking about a couple of the Old Crow Raven dropships, once I can get myself off the Epicrack habit for a bit. And DLD Productions is supposed to be coming out with another style of dropship for the OPFOR line of models. I'm looking forward to seeing that puppy. |
