Runeworld Auctions
I bid on some old style Wave Serpents and old Prism Cannons from this fella Runeworld, won the auction almost a month ago, and contacted him that day for an invoice (hoping to combine shipping).
Didn't hear back from him, so I emailed him again two days later, nothing.
Emailed him a third time 2 days after that.
A week later I finally just paid the full shipping (a ridiculous amount from Australia) and sent him a nasty-gram telling him his communication skills were lacking.
He writes me back offering to credit back for the shipping, or he could send me more Wave Serpents as compensation. I should have taken the money, but I bit and actually sent him MORE money (this is where I got stupid) as a side deal - a big no-no for Ebay but I've grown accustomed to the honesty of gamers.
Once the money was safely in his bank account, the communication stopped. Nothing. I have emailed him through eBay three times since then but he won't respond and (more to the point) no mini's. Yet he has time to run a whole new line of Epic auctions on eBay.
It is approaching a month since I won the original auction and I now consider leaving negative feedback (only to inevitably get trashed in return for PAYING ON TIME ).
Anyone know this ape? Any suggestions? Anyone from Australia who can go rough him up for me? Uhm, I mean, remind him to ship my goods?
Be careful, folks!

Sad story. Hope it has a happy ending.
If you paid through PayPal, start a refund request. I have found that helps get some people to pay attention.

As a tip, e-mail him direct. I know I for one rarely look at Ebay messages and this has caused a hiccup or two in the past. Looking at his current auctions, listed postage actually looks about right, and it's pretty keen compared to the other way round. What costs you guys $9AUS probably costs us $15US the other way....

Aye, the paypal refund request system is very good when used in conjunction with an Ebay purchase... they can track the fact that you've tried multiple times to contact him though the ebay system, yet he has not responded.
The seller has a very good feedback rating, though there's someone else who looks to have had a similar experience to you who's left negative feedback.
Anyways, start the 'item not recieved' appeal process would be my first advice.

The last problem I had with an Ebay purchase I got screwed over by Paypal. Basically unless you are going through a fully credited Paypal account the amount that they can recover is limited to the amount left in the Paypal account of the seller.
So I payed for some Squat sprues at ?20 for 10. The guy never posts them and empties his account by purchasing loads of stuff off eBay. I start proceedings and Paypal recover ?6.50 from the Paypal account, they then close the case stating lack of funds. Yet the guy is still buying loads of stuff off ebay using that account via a credit card. Very frustrating. Until they sell something else and get some cash in the account again I've got no chance of getting the rest of the money back nor any further lines of recompense.

Interesting news Enderel. Hopefully, since he's running several additional auctions we can hope his Paypal accound has some money on it.
As an advice, I'd start an "item not received" process. Negative feedback is only a last resort since it might close the whole case.

Be very careful with the process they like you to ring the seller if possible and email him as well. Some of them can get nasty if you ring them.

What costs you guys $9AUS probably costs us $15US the other way.... | I don't have a problem paying postage, but I was trying to combine postage on two auctions (a practice so common it is virtually unneeded to say anything). $15AU for shipping eight models total seemed excessive to me in light of the fact that he asked for $7.50AU for the one auction. Funny enough I paid it anyway!
Well, I appreciate the advice. Lets see if I can light a candle under this guy.

I know this doesn't help you, but I'm in the U.S. and have bought several items from this seller with very good results. ?Regardless of others experiences with him, it's a good idea to go to paypal for resolution with this. After that much time, you have to protect yourself. ?Much as I hate it, I have had to use paypal buyer protection myself (I'd much rather have the stuff than the cash).
As an aside, I too have not left negative feedback for those that deserved it for fear of retaliation. ?It sucks for those that could be forewarned, but I'm a big CHICKEN!

Yeah I'd also add that Runeworld is a very good seller in my book. Most likely it is just some misunderstanding with the messaging system. Anyway I hope things work out for you

On the negative feedback thing, I'm sure I read somewhere that Ebay have implemented a system where any negatives left by the "bad" party in a dispute dont count against your rating.

My one and only negative was an attack on me before they limited feedback to those who had won an auction or the auction owner.
EBay's stand so far has always been, "We Do Not Take Sides".

If anyone knows how that works I'd appreciate a heads up. There are some eBay sellers who really put it to me and others need to be warned.

FYI Runeworld did contact me - I guess the Paypal thing worked. Apparently he was sick .
He emailed saying my posting here already cost him sales - not really sure if I believe it or if I care. Good lesson though for all parties: 1. If you're a seller, keep your commo up. 2. If you're a buyer, the community is another effective place to 'encourage' the seller to do the right thing.
Thanks again all - hopefully the Wave Serpents will be here soon.
