In a looooong term view I plan to build a Chaos army - well, four of them actually, one for each power. I don't plan each force to be incredibly massive, but I'd like followers of each god to have a Titan of some sort (those things are always handy ). Those titans would have fixed weapons since they are awfully mutated after 10'000 years.
For Khorne, I aleady have a Banelord, which is IMHO a lot better than any Khorne warlord for the project I have in mind. This leaves me with three other Chaos titans to build: Tzeench, Slaanesh and Nurgle. I plan to have them converted from older titan versions. For this reason, I am searching for a selection of Chaos Titan weaponry to help me, as two or three plastic beetlebacks in decent shape. The most important thing are certainly chaos titan heads, but I am also looking for tails, (sensual ) energy whip and any other weapons suited for those three gods.
In your opinion, what Chaos weapon should be assigned to which god?
I think old plastic warlord titans might be a bit too slow for Tzeench or even Slaanesh, but Reaver titan arrived after the Horus Heresy, right?
Has anybody spare parts for trade? I have some spare Titan weapons but not chaos ones, a Capitol Imperialis, this sort of thing. Full list on request.
Feel free to add your suggestions!

Wow I am truly amazed by the sense of community there!! The number of replies is simply amazing
I don't worry too much though, I am searching on eBay like a hawk, and I've posted an ad on B'town (with the full list of my stuff available for trade, should you be interested). And if all else fails, I can simply search for substitutes in other ranges - after all, it's not like Chaos Titan Heads were the only chaotic heads of all GW miniature range.
On the topic, has anybody tried any substitute? Also, on the Chaos army book there are the Tzeench flying titan and the Bubonis, has anyone tried a conversion? I've searched the web for pictures but found none.

Hi Kotrin,
There was a flying Tzeench Titan that was featured in a Citadel Journal a long time ago, they used bits of Firelords and lords of change (40k size) I think.
Not sure I've seen many chaos titan bits for sale, but I found a good conversion accidentally today. Take the normal power fist, strip off the fingers and hand back to the wrist. Take two lots of ork chainswords (the plastic ones old ones) and attach them like a pincer claw, looks very chaosy..
I'd be inclined to cut up 40k daemons for bits!

The number of replies is simply amazing | You would have done better to have posted this in the sections for discussions. Not very many people have "extras" so they do not look at requests for items they do not have.
Just a thought.

Another good source if you aren't picky about GW cannon is the WizKids Mechwarrior CMG. Lots of cool chainsaws, deathrollers, mega cannon and the like. For a Chaos titan tail, I have also used the centre rail from a WHFB plastic skeleton chariot quite effectively.

I also think I have the CJ article on the Tzeench Warlord, Skylok. Fairly certain they used the Mk2 Warlord as the basis....I'll see if I can dig it up.

Yeah it had a flat top style warlord body with Firelord head and greater daemon wings I think. Looked very cool. Plus I think it could use greater daemon cards to save from damage so it was very hard to kill.

@Dafrca: Well, I just posted in the Trade forum, wasn't aware of those subtleties... Anyway, I've met a very interesting trading candidate on B'Town, so things are going well.
@Enderel: you are right, it was the Skylock, described along the Bubonis in an old Citadel Journal. I think that's the reason they've been included in the Chaos army book for NetEpic. The bad point however is that there's no picture of either beast, although inputs on this thread give excellent hints.

If looking for a trade and post to a trade section. If no one responds then no one had what you wanted.
You were not happy that people did not post replies your subject in a trade section. Thus the suggestion that if you want discussion then go to a discussion section and you might gain better results.
Either way, it sounds like you have found what you wanted and that is a good thing.

...Well, the primary goal was to get miniatures anyway.

Kotrin: To address your questions...
The Reaver was actually the first imperial titan design. Warlords came later. In fact, one of the oldest titan legions (whose name escapes me currently) even paints their pre-Warlord Reavers in a different scheme.
Slaanesh: Energy whip, definitely. My favorite Slaaneshi titan is a Reaver with the Slaanesh head and an energy whip. I've also seen cool conversions making the MkI plastic missile launchers into giant speaker arrays for sonic weapons.
Tzeentch: Flame weapons. If you want a good head and tail for a conversion, use a Firelord fuselage. That's probably more readily available and possibly cheaper than titan bits and has a stronger Tzeentch feel, imho, than any of the stock titan bits. Another option is to use the 40K TSons models for bits. I haven't done it yet, but I plan to take the headdress off 2 TSons and mount them on the old Warhound models. That should give a nice Egyptian, jackal-headed look to the Warhounds.
Nurgle: I recommend doing a search. Someone did a Nurgle titan army using the AMTL list a while back. I recall the conversions and style were generally well-received.
Skylok: My understanding is there was a picture of a conversion in the original article, but I've never seen it. I have a vague memory of a bitz list for it, too, but that may be my brain playing tricks on me.
In any case, I think the idea is sort of goofy. I seem to recall that the rules were less than elegant also. Basically, I would ignore this whole idea. If a titan were going to fly, it would be gifted with a version of a flying disk rather than wings, imho, like a Silver Tower or Warp Palace.
General suggestions for titan heads and weapons: Look for 40K bitz. An Emperor's Children Lord backpack could be mounted on a carapace as a sonic weapon. The braziers from the Sisters of Battle walker would make excellent banner poles for a Tzeentch titan. Even "organic" models look like statuary when painted in a solid color and it would be appropriate for a chaos titan head to be sculpted into an effigy. Warmaster Nice and others have used the Juggernaut head for Khorne titans. I'm sure there are some Dark Eldar bits (and possibly DE bits from Battlefleet Gothic) that would make great Slaanesh conversions for titans.
Hope that helps.
