100 US$ for that? By my estimate that will go for at least twice that price.

I'd have loved to purchase minis at your rates, Peter :p

Hi!

But thats the problem Magnus. You calculate at retail value, I view everything in wholesale values. I used to buy everything at 50% off for my store back in the day.

I NEVER buy epic with any discount under 50% for that reason. Heck my last few larger acquisitions were at almost 75% retail. Of course these were over 4 years ago.

Hek even GW has online sales of new blisters after the epic 40k flop at discounts in excess of 60%!

Wait a year or two as epic slids into obscurity again and some good deals can be had again. Then again stock available is much less than epics golden age. So such deals may be a thing of the past.

My target is generally 50% of retail at the time the minis were purchased, so for older stuff, that's sometimes under 25% of what a current "replacement" would be.

Personally, I don't understand the obsession with FW stuff on eBay.  It goes for at least 75% of retail in most cases and sometimes about the same as retail before shipping.  I even saw a recent auction for an Epic Tau army that went for close to 75% of retail and the description clearly stated that large portions of the lot were broken.

Absolute insanity.

I'm boggled by some of the prices on ebay sometimes, too. I recently won a painted AT era greater gargant for only $4.50 USD, but other times I'll see them go for over $30. Also, I usually figure in the cost of shipping when I decide what my max bid is.

Hi!

I totally agree. Its like they dont know, or choose to not know they are still available for a certain price.

Go figure.
