Check out this on Ebay

No way is that guy going to see that, and you don't even see all the models. I think no is a bit of a con man.

Cheers

OMG!  :o  How much?

I must admit that I am suspicious, but he has only good feedback and there are a few pictures. I wonder how much it will finally go for. Why would anyone bet hold of 20 of each of the two battleships? That is a LOAD of Gothic stuff. Let me know when it finishes.

have you seen his Eldar army

Eldar Army eBay Link

it strikes me as rather silly as I am sure if he took the time to split this lot (Eldar and BFG) into smaller lots he would probaly earn more - there must be a bundle of people willing to pay ?10 for  a Falcon and very few if any willing to spend ?3,500 on a bundle of stuff!!!!

Yeah, I saw that, and I am a bit suspicious, it seems that he is only showing so much of his collection.

Also, I agree, he would make more money splitting it up.

Cheers

The dude is claimng alot that he, for what ever reason, is not showing. This is an iffy one. He says to e-mail him if there are any questions. Maybe he would provide photos. e-bay can get costly. He has a rating of 27. While all good, it may not be enough to send the guy a thousand bones. Hell, my rating is 106 and I still think that is low. I would use caution if thinking about buying from this guy. this is alot of money to ask for. Get proof of the figures. Have the guy take a picture of the stuff with his name and date written in a peice of paper laying next to it. Also, you may want to split up the payments.

They're both insane auctions, but I feel he may be genuine.

Purely out of curiosity I emailed him asking if he could provide photos of the full lot. His reply:
"i can't make more pictures
sorry
please understand
i have only this pictures"

Hmm..sounding dodgey I thought. However, he followed this with a further email offering to use this site:
www.world-escrow-service.com
For means of security. I've never used it before but it looks like it will check out. Maybe this is one of those rare cases of an honest "Ramos'ian" getting out of the hobby
:;):

Good luck to any who bid I say - Its one hell of a lot of models!!

I would be REALLY suspicious about this. The security site is all well and good, but there is no absolute security for this kind of thing.

What makes me wonder is why anyone would ever construct a Gothic fleet with 20 Battleships, or an army with 200 (yes, 200!) Scorpions!  :o

And no more pictures?...

Is this a reference to Pete Ramos?  If so, what's the scoop.  I haven't heard anything about him since I got back into the hobby, but I did trade some stuff with him back in '97-98.

And Neal, I believe Peter Ramos and our friend Primarch here are one and the same... I'm sure he'll set us straight.. :;):

Certainly a strange one, I notice that there were no bids on the BFG auction...prehaps what you see in the picture is what was assembled and the rest is boxed, possibly an ex independent trader liquadating stock or something similiar?

It could be liquidated stock, but no-one bid on it and now its gone!
