I have been looking over the experimental Grey Knights list - and one of the options is for Inquisitorial Warbands to have an Imperial Landing Party transport.

This costs of 3 Arvus Landers and 1 Aquila transport. These things seem to be something I almost never see on eBay or on trade sites.

Are these hen's teeth? Should I just proxy them with Lightnings / Thunderbolts?

Yeah my experience as well. Personally I've thought of using some xwing landers for those types of things which has a double bonus if you play the game. The prepaints are at tabletop standard and take well to additional washes (especially enables and oils) and weathering directly. YMMV

I was googling and I can't seem to see an obvious X-Wing model that is designed as a troop lander - do you mean the Imperial shuttles?

@Jim

Those are nice but they are bigger than a Thunderhawk Lander when you get them on the table. The Arvus was teeny, kind of the size of an A-Wing in that scale.

@Legion 4

The Buffalo one certainly looks like the right angular look.

Ahhh always thought it was a bigger beast than that (never seen one in the flesh, so to speak).
In that case perhaps something like this then https://www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/p ... sion-pack/

anyways best of luck finding either a suitable proxy or an original!

I might have a spare Aquila knocking about somewhere if it's any use, will have a search
All my Arvus are in use though (I don't think there are any spare but I'll go through the boxes)

In general the IA wayback machine does have some of the forgeworld pages, e.g.:
https://web.archive.org/web/20090318060 ... _NAVY.html

But the image of the aquila is missing. It's useful to remind yourself what the pieces used to cost though :) For instance...

Why oh why did I never get round to buying a cathedral?
