After beginning to tidy my "study" (man-pit/model room and lately dumping ground)

I discovered a small host of forgeworld aeronautica/epic models. Mainly imperial, things like valkyries/vultures/lightning fighters maybe? certainly a Marauder in there somewhere...

Some are untouched, never having left the packets... others have been built and undercoated I think.

I was wondering how much interest there might be for these things and whether it was worth putting them up? (and uncovering what else might be there too!)

There's a metal blocky (mk2?) warlord titan hanging around too... off chance of forge world warhound pair maybe as well... i'd have to investigate further :)

From what I can see of the forgeworld site, these things are no longer for sale as well... so might actually have an element of rarity! (As opposed to the ebay RARE! tag which normally means you can still find them on the store ;) )

I doubt you'll have any trouble shifting them, no!

Ok,

From box number 1 (the mostly untouched box) I have:
2*2 Vultures
2*1 Marauder Destroyers (8 missiles included for each... enough for the 4/wing supports but it looks like there were originally 12)
2*2 Thunderbolt fighters
1*2 Valkries
1*2 Lightning Attack Fighters
1*2 Warhound titans

And from box number 2... there appears to be a couple of pieces of epic scale terrain

Warlord Titan shown for scale (and availability ;) )
And a couple of guild mounted bounty hunter patrol packs from exodus wars.

There's more things... but that can wait for another night :)
There /may/ be an epic tau army and bfg fleet if I decide to part with them (neither have seen a gaming table sadly, both were bought and painted several years ago :( )
The photo gives an idea of the army, i've not seen it for a while but I think I did a little more work on it since that picture... maybe :S

Well I could be up for one of the sets of vultures if you decide to sell them here...

The terrain is from gatehead minis. Good stuff and their modular factories are some of my favorites. Fully in production so not rare at all. However that's nice with your Tau; You're going to make some money on that.

I'm not sure what the current market prices are for these sorts of things... cursory look at ebay says it's nuts! (Pack of BFG tau protectors has a bid on them for £50 :o ). But whether that's realistic is another matter. I do however remember selling titans for £20 each when forgeworld had intermittent stock. So perhaps that's not out of the realms of possibility.

With the tau, I would realistically only sell it as a single lot, it would however come in it's own KR case. (Unless people are willing to by bits separately at stupid prices like the BFG protectors... at £50/per pack i would happily split it ;) )

The gateshead terrain (thanks :) ) I would ship as a pair also. Though obviously for a less silly amount as they are available.

The market is very strange, eg warhounds don't seem to be any more expensive that when they were available, but other stuff is crazy. For some reason the tau BFG ships seem to go for more than the Epic, and also at hugely varying prices. One seller sold two protectors (I think) on the same day and one fetched twice the other. I have seen a BFG model sell for over £100 and then also for £35.

With the epic tau, everything will sell if you split it so it's not a problem, but it would be a shame me. Often painted full armies are worth more together anyway, which may well be the case for Tau. I suspect the painted value of resin figures sold individually is significantly less than unpainted ones, but not sure. Unpainted stuff comes up quite frequently but a lot of it seems to be recasts sold out of Poland. Still expensive of course, I suspect a lot of buyers are being duped.

If you sell the army as a set maybe you could do it with open bids here rather than give eBay a cut.

The Tau army as a whole must be worth in excess of £500 IMHO.

Painted and based armies would be best done in fewer large lots.
