I need to sell some of my Massive Epic collection to fund a New Project, probably about 1/3 of it i guess (I'm starting a Business...) Would it be better, do you think: To sell off the 1/3 that's Painted, or the 1/3 that's unpainted? Tghe Painting standard is very good table-top quality, but by no means master painted: a very good start, I just haven't gone back to Super-Detail 'em... I'm looking at liquidating: Squats Eldar Orks, Tyranids and some extra Rare GW Eldar Exodites. I really need to maximize my return, so: What would you do? I'd prefer to offer it to someone here first, rather than hassle eBay....But: I don't want to give stuff away, either. It took me a Long Time to put this stuff together, and it kinda hurts to pare it down... All sale armies are in the 7,500 to 10,000 points NetEpic range. (I've realized that 50,000-100,000 points of Epic just isn't going to hit the TableTop like it used to...) I'll post specific lists here if peoples are Inter'sted. Thomas |

Paint standard and current rarity will affect price. It's mainly up to how attached you are to them, personally I find it harder to part with painted models and would prefer to buy unpainted, but then I'm a painter myself. Make sure you get a very good price for the Exodites if they are the unreleased original ones. I've seen those sometimes go on ebay for £10-40 per individual model (not stand of multiple), though ebay prices vary a lot. |

From other threads on eBay it sounds like their new schedule of fees is such that a person-to-person sale might be as good or better for you, even if it goes for a lower price than on eBay - similar net price with considerably less hassle. |

I enjoy painting and converting much more than playing the game, so unpainted is usually what I shoot for. Either that, or anything I buy painted gets stripped! If you happen to have unpainted Guard you'd like to get rid of, I'm always willing to pay a fair price! |

I would do a quick scan of Ebay for the going price, deduct the ebay costs and offer here. Quote two prices, one for the painted (representing what you think it should be to reflect the time you put in, maybe whateer the minimum wage is wherever you are if you are shy) and one for the unpainted and see what you can get! (I await your listings!) Tis at least a guaranteed price unlike ebay. So what's the business? |
