I bought 4 Epic Ordinatus Armageddon from robert925925 all four were copies and quite poor ones too, he's done the same to another 3 buyers. Looking at his recent purchases, they include blocks of casting metal. I should have known they were too good to be true, but not good enough to paint well and pass on!
Paypal complaint has been initiated and I've e-mailed GW too.

Update.
I parcelled up my four "bargains" ?and sent them off to GW.
Got this e-mail today.

"Hi Adam,

Thank you for forwarding to us the Ordinatus Armageddon figures you recently
bought off of ebay. I can confirm now that they are counterfeits.

As you mention in your letter, these figures are no longer available so
unfortunately we will be unable to replace them. We will though supply you
with a letter confirming the figures are counterfeits for you to forward on
to Paypal to assist with your claim. This will be sent to you in the next
few days.

Why do I have a feeling that I'll get squit back from Paypal? :glare:
Here's the current state of play with the complaint.
"A claim has been issued against this transaction. The seller's deadline for responding to this claim is 15 May 2008. The seller has the option to provide a full refund for the amount of the transaction, offer a full refund if the item is returned in its original condition, offer a partial refund for an amount you agree to, provide proof that a refund was already issued to you, or disagree with your claim. If the seller does not respond by the deadline, the claim will be decided in your favour."
His reply to my compalint is-
"This person has bought one of the items i had at an earlier date and was happy with the item as the positive feedback he left proves. If this person was not totally happy with the item then why would he have specifically sent me an email requesting another 3,saying and i quote 'cant get enough of a good thing'.I would say that this person is attempting to scam me out of both the items and the money. The items were provided as described in the listing on ebay and because i did not know the orgin of these items(no packaging) I did not state that they were ORIGINAL.This is a hobby of mine and i like to paint these miniatures so yes i will have many different items relating to my hobby.I would not even know where to begin making a copy of items like these as i believe it would require alot of money and equipment, besides GW has been making miniatures for years how would you duplicate that experience? i will not offer a refund as i do not have the money do so,i am not a rich man, besides which as i said I think this person is attempting a con.I have since stopped all my dealings with both Ebay and Paypal because this is now the third time someone has tried to get a refund for perfectly good items and i dont mean miniatures!Thank you for your time and understanding."
I've e-mailed him to let him know that should I fail to recover my money via Paypal, I'll take out a County Court Summons. I somehow can't see our local Police taking much interest in this.
I'll let you all know after the weekend what's transpired.

The bare faced cheek of this guy!  Hes been contacted 3 times as he is selling fakes, and he admits it!  Im sure that GW will be very happy to have that response.

I still have all three in blisters if anyone is interested.

Its funny but I had a deal to sell these arranged last month and then the buyer backed out as he was able to get them more cheaply via eBay.

I assume his were fakes as well.

What a jerk. My favorite part is where he denies knowing how to cast minis.

Adam,

I have had nothing but good experience working with PayPal in cases like this.

Things you should point out to them:

1) This quote from him:

I have since stopped all my dealings with both Ebay and Paypal because this is now the third time someone has tried to get a refund for perfectly good items and i dont mean miniatures!

If more than one person is bringing this up with PayPal he's going to be hard pressed to deal with two separate people claiming the same thing.

2) His recent eBay purchases.  I believe Chroma pointed out that he bought some casting materials in Joker's thread on this guy.

Better get screen shots of the proof of casting materials purchase. The internet can get kind of ethereal at times.

Yup, point out to ebay, paypal and him that his previous purchases clearly show everything needed to cast models. That'll throw his "I have no idea how" excuse out the window.

Did GW return your models?  Or did they give you store credit?  Or have they just kept them?

I suspect they will be keeping them, and as the models are OOP I wont be expecting any store credit for my ordinati.  :glare:
