I bid more to have the item bookmarked... :D

Maksim,

Remind me to show you how to "Watch" rather then bid to bookmark. That was a costly bookmark.

I "Watch" things all the time. It's so much easier than actually bidding on it.

Congrats, Darkone. I'm glad to see you have another prototype to add to your collection.

Hi Dafrca, Doug and Gang,

O changed my mind last minute whens omeone offered to pay the other half of the bid. I still knew that Doug would outbid me though! Doh! :)

I almost wish I hadn't have bid so Doug could pay less.

By the way, Mazel Tov (Congrats), Doug!

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

The pics which were up on the auction are up on De'Aynes now, but I look forward to seeing more anytime.... :D

Thanks again guys,  I had thought it would go high not just because Maksim was after it but I thought Epicollector would go for it,  luckily for me that wasnt the case.  Nevertheless its gone to a good home I promise!

Maksim: I wouldnt worry so much about the bidding, I still havent forgotten the promo ork traktor we slugged it out for.  So no hard feelings! :)

Hi!

That epicollector guy is one tough cookie when it comes to bidding.

Thank God I have never wanted something bad enough to enter a bidding war.

Yes, I know the feeling. You think about it and deside you do want it. Hard to resist such a nice item.

Just had to tease you a little though.

Hi!

For me, its simple to avoid such auctions.

I just imagine receiving the package, opening it and thinkng, I paid how much for this?

Given how much regular epic stuff I have gotten for the bid price, I'll stick to keeping away from such items.

Which makes my admiration for Doug and his persistance even greater, since I'm far too cheap to emulate him. :;):

What amazes me the most is that people will typically pay more than retail for Forgeworld items on eBay. Witness the last listing for a Forgeworld Epic Tau army.

Hi!

Good point Breten. It has been mentioned before, there's no real explanation other than perhaps ignorance or laziness on the buyers part.

Or in the case of some people, the fear of dealing outside the US. I know a few people who would pass up a great price for a more expensive auction because the first was the UK and the second was US. Not sure why the fear, but it is there.
