Congrats Athmos. I still haven't got arround to painting mine but it really is a nice model despite of it's age. Now where can I find an equally cheap Hellbore...
Cheers!

Hi!
I just want Athmos to confirm is a "real" CI when he gets it, I'm curious about that point.

ok, i'll keep you informed if it's a copy or what. the way it was (not) advertised and painted tend to make me confident, but who knows ?
And about hellbore, well, those are awfully expensive lately. About a year back they were cheaper than the CI, but it's not the case anymore. The last one i've seen got off for 37? !

Hi!
Agreed. Hellbores have become exceedlingly expensive. I think the pockets of "rare" finds in stores have finally dired up. I used to come accross these faily frequently in bargain bins and would casually pick them up. It been a couple of years seen I last saw one though.....

The fact he did not remember the name and only added it after my email alone gives me confidence. The people who seem to be selling recasts on ebay (two that I suspect) not only know the names, but hype the items as ***Very Rare***. Further in one case he seems to have more of the realy rare 40k stuff then anyone I know including some people who buy and sell through a store.
I believe Athmos got himself a good deal and will be happy.

Well, i've just received the beast today; it's an original, perfect casting (with the level of detail of that time, but the casting itself is the real thing) and plastic tracks. Didn't see such a crappy painting for a long time, but i've planned to strip/repaint it anyway; luckily, the assembling is quite better than the painting and i won't have to un-glue/remake it.
I'm quite happy !

Be carefull what you strip it with, remember the tracks are plastic. Some metal strippers will eat them. Along with some women I know!

Hi!
If the paint is not too thick I'd just prime it over, its easier that way.
