I'm really interested in 2x FW Thunderhawks.
I have 2x FW Marauder Bombers and 2x Marauder Destroyers - all built but in perfect condition and unpainted - that I'd like to trade for 2x FW Thunderhawks.

I also have a very large unpainted force of GW Epic Knights (SM era, i.e. 'current'), all types, up for grabs to sweeten the deal if Marauders don't float your boat.

I really really want FW Thunderhawks... Unless there's an easy way to kit bash the Thunderhawk Transporter into a passable Chaos Thunderhawk..?

OK taking a look at my piles of troops I am going to do something radical here.

I am going to put up an entire painted space marine force for sale. The target of this would be best served by someone who just started with epic and doesn't have a playable force yet. I already have the complete gubbins for a brand new force and there's no reason to squat on this (it was going to go up for sale anyways)

It consists of (in codex marines speak)
1 Devestator detachment with 4 Razorbacks (both types)
1 Assault detachment
1 scout detachment
2 tactical detachments with rhinos
1 terminator detachment
4 Land Raiders
4 Whirlwinds
4 Predators (both types)
1 Thunderhawk Gunship
1 Landing Craft
4 Vindicators
3 Dreadnoughts

This is your classic 3k codex list. Throw in your random characters and a few hunters (still available or easily constructed from plastic rhinos + EW SPAAG turret). Everything is painted to a good tabletop standard and in great shape. They are painted in minotaurs veterans color scheme (NMM brown/tan for the bronzy parts-terracotta sholders). All models are the current edition versions available (or at least what was available until now). If anyone is interested I'll post pics in another thread.

I'm just starting my inventory of unwanted bits,everything is new plastic clipped from sprues unless I state otherwise.


28 beast men models (some have las pistols and swords some have two handed swords).
20 hounds of khorne
6 chaos lord models (plastic ones with cloak and back banner)
10 chaos marines with missile launchers
69 chaos space marines (some short ones some with bolters across their chests and some with bolters at a 45* angle upwards on one shoulder).

Some orks aswell,too many to list

Just a comment about Orks for anyone wondering if they should keep going or even get into this at all with the race. They are the kitbash/scratchbuilders/alternative model wet dream. There's honestly NOTHING you can do wrong with any models you acquire/build whatsoever as well, that's the Ork style afterall: ramshackle crazy stuff. I'm not even talking tanks here. Gargants and cans and all sorts of weird stuff.

Actually let me re-state a personal opinion: the only way you can do Orks wrong is to make them actually uniform models and ranks so this is actually a great opportunity for folks to go crazy.

Edit: here's a BFG fleet a thousand times better than anything GW made put together from random garbage (literally it's all plastic junk, plasti-cards, and some greenstuff. This is what I mean about true orkiness
