Thanks for the head-up on the various Ebay auctions, but I already noticed those  :)

My problem is not with knights: I already own a few of them... not enough to field a detachment of every kind, maybe, so I'll try to secure a few more, but my real need is Exodites specifically, of which I have none.

My idea would be to find 1:300 plastic dinosaurs (I mean, have a look at those pictures... the big beast is just a Triceratops, the other one is a Tyrannosaurus-looking thing, the flier is a Pteranodon, while the cavalry ones are Allosaurus and Oviraptor) and mount some eldar plastic guardian on top of it, plus a few long spiky bits to work as weapon. I'll have a look at the lizardmen warmaster range, though.

Peter: pictures would be much appreciated. At the very least I'll use them in the Hardware book  :D

I know, Disartes. I did that search too  :p

No reason to be sorry about anything. I have a feel that my best bet by far is conversions. Even assuming that a few of those will come up on Ebay, I'm almost sure I won't be able to spend anywhere near what the final auction price would be.

On another note, if you just want to be sad:

http://virtualalchemist.com/tobedeleted ... eleted.htm

The list of Epic lost things with the demise of the Epic archives. I REALLY hope we get some new replacements (or new batches of the old ones) from Fanatic in the future....

One thought is, with the changes Jervis has said maybe some of the old metals might make a come back. We will just have to see. :;):

OK, fair point - I'll relabel it ;)

Of course someone might want to own that Ghost Warrior. I remember selling a group of two for close to $60 on ebay.

Hi!

He also promised to bring back the full epic line, a limited run for plastic beetlebacks and a slew of other things for epic before epic A was released....

...and none materialized.

Jervis is just an employee...

...the suits decide what and how much gets allocated for any "availability".

Sorry, but its my "time of the month", where I get all pessimistic...... :;): :D

Really? I have always seen him say all the plastics were gone for good. Then he said they had salvaged some of the troop sprues. I had never seen the other plastics promised.  ???

Guess that just shows why you should take care what you say and what you promise.  :;):

Hi!

He mentioned that, either in the old firepower magazine or on the original forums, but that was long ago, at the beginning of the development for Epic A. Then again at that time he said lots of things. I knew he couldn't deliver. They sounded to grand for a game making a comeback under the fanatic budget.

Oh well... perhaps we could do it ourselves... :;):  (see the "all we need is a scultpor thread").....
