Folks,

to help finance my future game company start up i am selling off my tyranid collection. This will be on ebay and i wanted to share with you good folks first. The sums total gained from this sale will go to directly starting Art Crime productions making 15mm and 6mm figures, many sculpted by our own E/C.

This is the list to follow as will be on ebay. Question should i sell as one lot or break up for those who have holes in there collections?

7 hive tyrants
7 zoanthropes
3 carnifex's
8 biovores
6 assault spawn
6 tank spawn
2 trygons
Dominatrix
harridan

all are listed as number of stands
13 hormiguants
33 termigaunts
15 nid warriors
10 steelers
13 gargoyle
6 lictors

Again ideas on should i break-up or sell whole will always be welcome.
Anyone wanting to purchase the whole lot please pm me, and we can leave ebay out of it.

Thanks in advance

jimbo

I'd definitely sell as a collection if they are painted/based similarly. If they're basically bare, then breaking the collection up will return more at auction, but may take a good deal more of your time.

I sold my nids on eBay ages ago (before I got into Epic) as discrete parcels and it was a logistical nightmare. If I was doing it again, I'd just sell the collection as a single lot—I reckon I would have made more that way, too.

Just my 2 cents.

Well I certainly look foward to seeing the new line of 6mm minis that you mentioned before ... ;D

I imagine focussing on two scales can be an interesting dilema for a new company. Unless you are cashed up inevitably one scale will take precedent. Good luck and hope you prosper.

You are probably (maybe) best selling as one lot, however here is the breakdown of how I see they would sell individually:

7 hive tyrants - not really of any value
7 zoanthropes - refer to hive tyrants above
3 carnifex's - depends on what types. Collectoirs like certain stands
8 biovores - not really. They used to be valuable, but not so much any more
6 assault spawn - you should get their values worth
6 tank spawn - you should get their values worth
2 trygons - These should sell well
Dominatrix - worthless.
harridan - These always sell well (especially if it is the old Forgeworld one)

all are listed as number of stands
13 hormiguants - these are worth a mint
33 termigaunts - these will sell, but don't expect hormigaunt prices
15 nid warriors - meh. You will get what they are worth
10 steelers - These are very hit and miss. Depends on who is bidding at the time
13 gargoyle - perhaps. unsure.
6 lictors - These should sell well as they are a very good unit

Then again, it all depends on how they are painted, based etc. For the hassle, I would probably just sell them as one lot.

Hope this helps

Cheers....
